Re: Plugins

Hi Vincent,

I can't tell for v1830 and the DCS decoder, but CTCSS plugin (by "the wraith2008") runs smoothly with v1827.

Greetings,
I'm using version 1830 SDR# and I have put the .dll file in the plugin folder for CTSS Decoder and the DCS Decoder and neither work when monitoring 2 meter Ham band or my local fire frequencies nad I know both frequencies and repeaters use CTSS codes.
Is there something else I need to do?

TIA for all helpful replies

Re: Spyserver bandwidth for v1700 versus v1822

I face the same problem Reading this thread, I've made all corrections suggested to server's side, but with no result.
Two screenshots with v.1770 and v.1830. The bandwidth is almost 3 times up
I think that the problem is all the newest versions of SDR#, all from 1770 ++ to newer 1830. That is why I've stopped using the newer versions and I kept the older ones.

Eddie,

I don't need that plugin, but wanted to thank you for
your continued support of the community who does need it.

I know it is very valuable to those who need it.

Community Package Installation

chutton12000

Hi -

On laptop 1, I installed the community plugins and all is well.
Om laptops 2 and 3, I installed them and they appeared in SDR#. However, after restarting they no longer appeared.

A search for "community" in the User Guide did not find anything.

I guess there are rules about what folder must be chosen for installation......

Re: Airspy R2 SDR on eBay for $120?

It even looks like a bad copy of the RTL.

If they have to counterfeit the printing, who
knows what else is counterfeited or stolen.

Biggest thing is who will provide support for it?

(and how many buyers will get mad when
Airspy says they will not support it?)

If you want to buy a cheap SDR, at least get a genuine cheap SDR.

If you want an Airspy, spend a little more and get a genuine Airspy.

This smells like they are selling the cheap dongle (or cheaper)
at much higher prices because it has an Airspy logo on it.

Prog should file a VERO claim with eBay for these fakes.

Thanks for the reply. It sounds like it is more of a hassle than to
just use the Win 7 & 10 computers.

I don't expect gqrx to show up in Chromebook app store, you may need to do
a little bit of hacking that will allow to install Linux packages.

gqrx is actually only half of the equation, but if you get it it's a good
sign. Once you get gqrx on your Chromebook, you'll need to download and
build the AirSpy Discovery library for Linux.

If this isn't straightforward as you hoped, you may consider having
Discovery and SDR# running on a Windows box and connecting remotely to it.

The FFT is performed on a signal with a lower sample rate. Try a lower resolution.

Fewer Signals in Slices in SDRSharp

BryonB

Hello All,

I haven't see this mentioned anywhere, so if I missed the answer from before I apologize.

I'm listening on 80m with HF+ Discovery and a YouLoop antenna, and I turn off the internal preamp. The noise levels are at right around -112dBFS, which is plenty of signal. I have my Display set so signals jump and don't decay quite as fast.

Now, if I open a second slice over the same band, I notice two things:
1.) Noise/signal levels in the slice all fall off several dB, with the noise down to -120dBFS
2.) Because of the dropoff in signals, the waterfall in the slice goes dark.
3.) The spectrum display in the slice slows to the point that I can't see signals within the slice that I can clearly see in the main display.
4.) All the display settings in the slice (S-Attack, S-Decay, etc) are shown as the same.

I'm running Windows 10 on an eight core AMD 3700X CPU, and the total CPU of the two slices is well under 10% and appears to be spread across more than one logical processor.

Why are signal levels in the second slice so much lower, and display settings slowed down to the point that signals don't appear?

I have fired up older versions of SDRSharp (1744, for instance) and the Slice behavior seems not to be new. Signals are weaker/slower there too.

Is this expected?

I've attached a screenshot. It's a little blurry, as I sized it down, as my main desktop is a 4k display.
