Re: HF+ and UHF Satcom Pirates
That coax is excellent (Martin Lynch were minutes from me, now just 20 mins) I've used it for everything here and have a couple of drums left. Not easy to get solid copper coax anymore. Even Times MIcrowave sell their high priced stuff with CCU now.

Well,
Yes – the noise floor is very low, I have the HF+ which is superb and some gain from the antenna. Also using low-loss coax: https://messi.it/en/catalogue/50-ohm-cables-ham-radio/broad-pro-50-double-jacket.htm and no mast-head pre-amp.

[Edited Message Follows] Rightho. You do seem to be be getting at least or better reception from sats on your (edited: NOT) near-gainless log-periodic than I do with dedicated QFH/Crossed tor WX and several Trivec Avants for SATCOM. I suspect though that you may have an amazingly low noise floor. I was not far from you a few weeks ago (Falmouth) but forgot to take a radio (on the plus side, Mrs Meduzi-Jellyfish didn't have a reason to complain about it, so not everything was lost :)

How dare you - Septic Scyphoza.
It wasn't £5 it was £3.99 from Aldi. Apparently Lidl have the HF+ in. £8.99 for a blister pack of three - central isle impulse buy. What's not to like? John

Well, it definitely works. MW is a bit crap but other SW broadcast bands are acceptable. Not bad for a £5 dongle!

Wagner, no-one here has called Brazilians "bandits". There were referred to as "Pirates" of which, the Brazilian's on FLTSATCOM, are exactly, that.

Re: New RTL-SDR Spyserver
Highest freq is set to 500 MHz, volume and gain should be user controllable.

Yup - not enough (too much) coffee.
I was logged on to wrong server - rtlsdrblog.hopto.org. Tried w5ggh just now but unable to cruise up and down for some reason. Just stuck around 164mhz. To many users perhaps... John

You have proof
You knew you could be sued for slander and defamation, even if I was in Brazil and you in Spain
Do you think Brazilians are bandits?
Can you prove that?
