Yes, there is an ExtIO but not linking somehow.

It's more abt wanting to use SDR#  😉

It runs fine with Uno and Console.

One piece of (useful) info: under win10 Pro on MINIX, 64 won't start... but fix is that 32 will!?

The SDRUno is the preferred sw for rsp 2.

I think the RSPs run a different chipset, Mirics, that I'm not sure SDR# can use. Except via an extio module, if one exists.

I too would buy a dedicated MW version of the Airspy. But like others, will buy a Airspy HF+ in the meantime. Maybe two. When do we expect it to become available to the general public?

hello:
No...i don't use USB hub.
And i don't have USB3 in my computer, but tested on my laptop with USB3 and i have the same USB Noise at 2.5 MSPS.

Why not? Find me good programmers willing to work for free and don't ruin the code base. (not that I am greedy, it's just I don't have money to pay them).

I was thinking about selling Airspy Soap at the next Hamfest - $99 a box.

Ordering in advance via any of my websites 😊

Hi,

I am using the latest CentOS 7.4 - fully updated version.
Unfortunately, I am locked into the platform, cannot switch to Ubuntu or Fedora.

Are you suggesting we should start a new MW only receiver and sell it at $500?

Silly question.
Are u using a USB hub with the spy?
if yes, ditch it.
does your rig has a USB3 port
if yes, USE that !, also lesser usb noise.
usb2 ports intent to set more noise.

Back to comments from Chuck and Greg: There are a few (maybe too few, for commercial interest?)  who are dedicated MW DX-ers using standard or bespoke software, and there's really no alternative to sampling the entire band. Anything less will be very inefficient, given the huge amount of data we collect. If the HF+ can't meet that criteria, that's ok.  It's a deliberate choice, but the discussion so far hasn't convinced me that the trade-off from offering  say 1320 instead of 660 kHz will compromise HF+ performance. But I'm not an engineeer, so what do I know.

Hey Jeff, your SpyServer work very fine. For test i tuned on 7074 USB, routed the output on WSJT with virtualcable and decoded some signal... Fantastic!

Where is locate your server?

Re: De-emphasis in NFM WFM

Julian

Filter wise:
JPEG Left is NFM - Filter Audio not applied, no HPF LPF at edges.
JPEG Right is WFM - Filter Audio makes no difference.

I am not sure whether de-emphasis is represented by WFM audio spectrum which drops at 15k? Or is it simply a default WFM HPF (which cannot be changed)? De-emphasis only applies to modulated (stronger) signal or the noise floor is also affected by it?

I would like to know whether de-emphasis is applied (as in a hardware receiver) in order to see whether the 2200Hz and 1200Hz demodulated signals are at the same amplitude.

So the streaming and the IQ conversion are all fine. You should check if your system has enough processing power left for the WX app.

Re: New Firmware for Airspy R2?

Yes..average is 10.005

Re: De-emphasis in NFM WFM

There's a difference between the deemphasis and the bandwidth limits set by the HPF's and LPFs. If you need the raw demodulated signal without any filtering, uncheck the "Filter Audio" box.
