Re: WFM no squelch, why and could it be added?

I tried routing WFM demod to KG-Tone, & its squelch works OK. The problem is the wide modulation BW of broadcast FM is detected by the noise squelch in KG-Tone, & sometimes it chops off a bit of the audio. I suppose a noise squelch algorithm specifically designed for broadcast FM would work provided the detection band avoids modulation energy present in those signals (19 & 57 kHz, etc.)
