Disagree on the gun. You can see the shiny glass panel at the front of the “gun” under-nose feature. This photo will make it much clearer:

Just found a great pic of underside, RF-4 JDF no gun. Is it the same as RF-4EJ?

Philip,
right you are, the Greek RF-4E's had been sold/ donated by Germany in the early 90's taken from TRW 51 and TRW 52 (the other half was given/ sold to Turkey. The "glass" is the window for the foreward looking camera.
I had flown the RF-4E with TRS 521 until December 1993 and scored about 1,500 flying hours. Then I was transfered to RAF Cottesmore for the transition training to the PA-200 Tornado. On Jan. 7th the last 6 RF-4E's had been flown out of Leck AB to Manching where these last six joined the rest of the RF-4's designated for Turkey, while all RF-4's to Greece had been flown out already months before.

The RF-4EJ are Mitsubishi assembled RF-4E. Survivors were upgraded to RF-4EJ Kai standard, with several new electronic systems aboard.
