דיווח על הפגנת החירום נגד הטרנספר של קהילות מסאפר יטא.

אחרי ההכשר של בג”צ לגירוש משפחות מבתיהן ואדמותיהן, חשוב שנמשיך לעמוד ולהתנגד לצידן.

אחרי שביום שישי הצבא, המשטרה, והמתנחלים עשו כל מה שהיה ביכולתם כדי למנוע מאיתנו להשמיע את קולנו נגד הטרנספר של המשפחות – חסמו אותנו, פיצלו אותנו, והפעילו עלינו אלימות – חשוב שנמשיך לעמוד ולהתנגד לצידן.

אל מול כל הכוחות האפשריים שפועלים לגרש ולנשל פלסטינים מאדמותיהם, חשוב שנמשיך לעמוד ולהתנגד לצידם.

ביום ראשון ה22.5, בשעה 19:30, יתקיים אירוע בבית של סולידריות בתל אביב (בבית רומנו, דרך יפו 9,  ת"א) בו נתכנס ללמוד מתושבי מסאפר יטא ופעילות בקמפיין ‘מסאפר יטא בסכנה’ (#SaveMasaferYatta) ולהבין איך אנחנו יכולות לקחת חלק במאבק בצורה שהכי נכונה לנו.

ולסיום, בגלל שהיינו בכמה מקומות במשך היום חשוב לנו גם לעדכן עם סיכום קצר על כל מה שהיה ביום שישי.

בבוקר, יצאו קרוב ל500 תומכי ותומכות מסאפר יטא באוטובוסים מחיפה, תל אביב, ירושלים ובאר שבע. בערך 250 א.נשים הגיעו דרך מפלגת חד"ש, אקטיביסטים מהמשולש וחיפה, מתל אביב, מבאר שבע ומירושלים.

עוד 250 אקטיביסטיות ואקטיביסטים עצמאיים הגיעו דרך הקמפיין של מסאפר יטא בסכנה (#savemasaferyatta), שוברים שתיקה, all that's left, עומדים ביחד, תעאיוש, שלום עכשיו ועוד. גם הגיע אוטובוס מחברון לצד כמה חברי כנסת ואנשי הרשות.

בדרכים, הצבא ומשטרה חסמו אותנו בכמה מקומות, אז לא הצלחנו להתאחד בשטח אבל כן הצלחנו להפגין ולהרים קולות בכיכר בית חגי (על יד חברון), במעבר מיתר, מעבר מצודות יהודה, הכפר ביר אל עיד, והכפר טוואני.

בביר אל עיד, פעילים ותושבים חטפו מכות על ידי מתנחלים מול העיניים של הצבא, אבל הצליחו לתקוע שלט לצד הכביש שמוביל לביר אל עיד המכריז על הכביש ככביש על שמה של שירין אבו עאקלה.

 
בסופו של יום, למרות שלא הרגשנו את הכוח של כולנו ביחד במקום אחד, מה שכן עשינו ביום שישי היה ללא תקדים. הפגנו יחד, מאות אנשים, בכמה מקומות במקביל.

הפגנו יחד, פלסטיניות\ים מ67 ו48, יהודיות\ים ישראליות\ים וגם מחו"ל, כולן\ם בקול אחד עמדנו לצד תושבי מסאפר יטא ואמרנו לא לגירוש ולטרנספר.

Over 500 people took part in the emergency protest against the forced displacement of the Masafer Yatta communities. Read on for a short update on what transpired on Friday.

The struggle doesn’t end here.

The Israeli Supreme Court gave the army the green light to displace families from their homes and lands - so we must continue to stand with the families and resist alongside them.

On Friday, the military, the police, and the settlers did everything they could to stop us from making our voices heard in resisting this forced displacement – they blocked us, divided us, and used violence against us - so we must continue to stand with the families and resist alongside them.

When it seems as though every power is working to displace these indigenous Palestinian communities from their lands, we must continue to stand with the families and resist alongside them.  

On Sunday, May 22, at 7:30PM, we’ll hold an event at The

House of Solidarity in Tel Aviv (In Beit Romano, 9 Derech Jaffa, Tel Aviv), where we’ll come together to learn from Masafer Yatta residents and activists in the #SaveMasaferYatta campaign.

We’ll come together to understand how we can each take part in the struggle in the way that is right for us.

Because we were in a few different locations during the course of the day we also wanted to send a quick wrap-up your way of all that happened on Friday.

In the morning, close to 500 individuals who support Masafer Yatta left on buses from Haifa, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Be'er Sheva.

About 250 members joined via the political party Hadash, activists from the "triangle" and Haifa, from Tel Aviv, from Be'er Sheva and Jerusalem.

Another 250 independent activists joined, with connections to the #SaveMasaferYatta campaign, to Breaking the Silence, All That's Left, Omdim B'Yachad, Ta'ayush, Peace Now and more. There was also a bus from Hebron, alongside several Members of Knesset and from the Palestinian Authority.

On the way to Masafer Yatta, the army and police blocked our way in a few places, so we weren't able to gather together on-site, but we did succeed to protest and raise our voices in the Beit Hagai roundabout (near Hebron), at the Meitar and Metzudot Yehuda crossings, and in the villages of Bir il-Eid and At-Tuwani.

In Bir il-Eid, activists and residents were physically attacked by settlers while the army watched on, but they managed to put up a sign naming the Bir il-Eid road in honor of Shirin Abu Akleh.

At the end of the day, though we didn't experience the power of all of us in one place - what we did on Friday was unprecedented.

Hundreds of people protested in several places simultaneously - Palestinians from '67 and '48, Jews from Israel and abroad - all together standing in solidarity with the residents of Masafer Yatta to say no to the expulsion and transfer.

We will keep resisting, and it’s good to know you are with us.
