I was reading the earlier post on the mini ground station and thought of the SATNOGS project.
They have plans for a AZ-EL rotor and various sat antennas. They use 3D Printed parts in the rotor
and a aluminum extrusion frame. You can adapt the rotor to use stepper or DC Motors. The antennas
also use 3d printed parts for element supports. The receiver is a SD dongle and the controller can be
a Raspberry Pi, Beagleboard, odroid and others.
The goal is to have users from around the world upload and display the data. You can listen to the audio
recordings of satellites tracked by the various ground stations or download the files.
