ISS SSTV This Week?
Surprising, especially with a cargo mission heading its way to the ISS this week. BUT ...
Russian cosmonauts are expected to activate Slow Scan Television (SSTV) image transmissions on 145.800 MHz FM

From Email ...
I have received several email messages and telephone calls during the Thanksgiving "break" -
many hams trying out the satellites for their first times! Really exciting, indeed!

WIMO xpol antennas for satellite use
I recently purchased the 2 meter and 70 cm X-Quad antennas from WIMO.
They can run horizontal or vertical, or circular with a phasing cable.
With switching, I can select any one of the three

I use both the baofeng and yaseu with a duplexer since I don’t have a true Full Duplex HT. It all works fro me with a coat hanger dipole built from a project page on ARRL magazine. I am probably

Re: GT-3TP Satellite Usage
the low end chinese ht are not superb ... but they are usable
signal is not superclean so i would not use it with a kilowatt amp on a 4x19 el array on a contest ... but on a small yagi ...

Re: GT-3TP Satellite Usage
I have worked all the FM sats with a Baofeng UV-5R. It's definitely harder since you can't hear yourself, but I've done it. I usually wait for a pass that isn't full of people on top of each
