In my humble opinion, the easiest to work are AO-91 and AO-92 on weekdays or in the evening. Next would be SO-50, same times. Brad KC9UQR

Best Sats to work Question
Haven't worked and amateur satellites in a few years. Thinking about getting back into. Can some give me a list or a link to the best ones to help shake off the rust with these days ?

FT-8800R tips and tricks?
Greetings! I don't have a full duplex HT but I do have a Yaesu FT-8800R which does have full-duplex operation when one side is on VHF and the other is on UHF. I wondered if anyone could point me to

Re: PC control of HT or mobile rig?
The files that I sent are for setting up a Kenwood TH-D72A with RT Systems software for satellites.

Hi Brad,
Not sure if you sent me the file, but try again. It may only for a PC system, but I think I may have and old PC that might be able to open it.

I too have the Kenwood TH D-72A and love it. It is a breeze to set up with RT Systems and a breeze to use. I should be able to send you the RT Systems file and all you have to do is change the call in

At this point, SatPC32 only supports certain radios, primarily the bigger fixed units that allow for computer control via CAT/CI-V commands. I am not aware of any HTs that could do that and even then,

Re: PC control of HT or mobile rig?
With an HT, many are successful by just “accommodating “ for Doppler with a step above/below the 440-band frequencies. None required, really, on the 2m side.
SO ... either VFO mode for 440 - or

Is there any way to connect something like SatPC32 to the Kenwood TH-D74 to automatically adjust frequencies for Doppler shift?
If not, are there any HTs or Mobiles that can do this? Or do you have
