I have used both on my 72 and I like the double side headset better because it blocks out unwanted noises happening around me.

Good point. Maybe I should start using my Heil Traveler dual-sided one: I have been accused of sometimes paying more attention to questions from bystanders than to the pass-at-hand ... (g)

Is PO-101 a ham radio satellite that is available to us? I didn't hear a thing on it today.

Is AO-7 still a usable satellite and how can one work it?

Is there any one source that lists current or active satellites AND  maybe correct frequencies?

Well, http://www.work-sat.com will always have the "easiest" FM voice birds' info for you.

And a link with info to start working SSB birds is ...

http://www.work-sat.com/SSB_CITES.html

To see what others are working successfully (and what is NOT working!), use the Live OSCAR Status Page - and click on the satellite names for more info -

https://www.amsat.org/status/

Diwasat PO-101 is up there ... last time I heard it was late April ... not an "easy" bird to access ...

AO-7 is being worked! Watch that Status Page -

Mode U/V (B) Linear Transponder (Inverting):
Uplink: 432.1250 – 432.1750 MHz SSB/CW
Downlink 145.9750 – 145.9250 MHz SSB/CW

Clint:

PO-101 is supposed to be a ham radio satellite, but there seems to be no signal from it. Is it usable for us? If so, how do we use it? Thanks.

Brad-

You probably know this, but I'll throw it out there for others that might not. I tend to look at two pages on the AMSAT site:
Current Status Page - https://www.amsat.org/status/
Communications Satellite List - https://www.amsat.org/two-way-satellites/

On the second page you'll see that it says, "Active by schedule, see here for schedule updates" next to PO-101. If you go to that page, it shows you all the info you'll need including contact info.

Good luck!

The AMSAT Status page that Clint sent you to is excellent. I also go to this page which gives you a quick listing of all the birds by category with links to specific information:

Also, this link:  https://www.amsat.org/linear-satellite-frequency-summary/  is excellent for the transponder birds.

Thank you David. I see by the operating schedule that it isn't or use to us in North America.

Matching Funds - Doubles your ARISS Donation!

Dollar-for-Dollar Match on your ARISS Donation Thru June 17, 2019

During the ARISS Forum at the Hamvention, it was announced, that
between now and June 17,  an anonymous donor will equally match
one dollar for each dollar donated up to $10,000.

Here is an excellent opportunity to get the most from your donations
to the ARISS FundRazr. The FundRazr Project was initiated to raise
$150,000 towards the ARISS Radio Upgrade on ISS. To date 90
contributors have donated $24,840 to the campaign, about 17% of the
goal. $10,000 of your dollars, donated now, will raise that total to
$44,840, including the matching funds. It would be great if we could
actually achieve one-third of our goal ($50,000) by mid-June.

I opened it, and was pleasantly surprised: The club sent me a Fisher Space
Pen. Engraved ... gift presentation box ... and even a couple of refills!

What class!

Thank you again, Ric and all, for the welcome AND for this wonderful gift!
