Then you will need its "formal" name and search for it in SpaceTrack ... Until Celestron or AMSAT-NA picks it up.

I thought the home site had Keplerian data for it ...

Clint:  The site is really no help, no info on its orbit or passes over the U.S. for the current date.  It or Amsat do not even list it as AO-71, only way I found out was on QRZ. Thanks for your reply.

Where can I get info on passes of AO-71 for my QTH? No one seems to have anything on this newest CubeSat.

Are you ready for some ... er, NASA news?

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES TO HONOR NASA ASTRONAUT CHRIS FERGUSON DURING MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL NOV. 7

HOUSTON -- NASA astronaut Chris Ferguson will return to his hometown
on Nov. 7 to serve as the Philadelphia Eagles' Honorary Captain
during the NFL's "Monday Night Football" game. The Eagles are hosting
the Chicago Bears at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia,

Ferguson will be recognized on the field for his dedication to

flight of space shuttle Atlantis. The 13-day mission marked the end
of the shuttle program's 30-year legacy with Atlantis' touchdown on
July 21, 2011.

Ferguson, who joined the astronaut corps in August 1998, is visiting
Philadelphia to spread NASA's message about the importance of space
research and exploration. Before the game, Ferguson will visit the
Please Touch Museum from 1 to 2:30 p.m. While at the children's
museum he will participate in story time and sign autographs.

Re: ISS

During JOTA, Mike Fossum said his duty schedule was from UTC 08:00 to 19:30.

Mike is a dedicated scouter and made himself available during the event.
You can see his story as a Scout and Scouter here: http://www.nesa.org/eagletter/2008-P.pdf

Finally, we have been trying for 10 years to repeat a voice QSO with the ISS.

10 years

Our last success was with Frank Culbertson during JOTA in 2001.

A news photographer video recorded our QSO you can here. It's just a few seconds - Mike was working as many stations as he could.

Packet is usually set up - and by monitoring it, you can make sure that your sat pass prediction scheme is set up correctly.

You need to work them during an event ... Or during their "free" time. Check the ISS site cited on my SAT SKEDS page at ...

No thanks.  I just bought an FT-60R based on all the nice things you had to say about it.  I'd like to get another FT-817 for this and several other reasons, but this new sat will have fallen out of the sky by the time that happens.

Thanks guys for the info....that makes sense, I was wondering if they
are transmitting only when they have time....I will try the 145.800..

Thanks again!

John KD8BIN

Re: ISS

Scott <scottph59@...>

John,
Your receive should be 145.800 for voice. You have the tx correct.  If you hear packet on 145.825 you won't hear anything on the voice channel.  They are usually not real active on voice. Just keep checking on passes over your QTH. You might get get lucky like I did one day.  Scott, KA7FVV

I am receiving on 144.490 and transmitting on 144.490.....is my
receive frequency wrong?

Appreciate any help!
