with me. She made a couple of commercials for WJMA

Russ has a good point. Interns are a great way to augment paid staff. Plus,
having a high school report from all the coverage area's high schools is
another way to add vital local content.

stations could develop stringers. The kids could cover all manner of

sure in 2003 obituaries are really good radio - but there's no reason why Media
General/WJMA couldn't maintain a sponsored

"Stiff City." That's a good one. Kids & radio; a deadly combination.
It reminds of the time I got two song titles mixed up and combined them
in such a manner that it caused all the telephone lines

Shortly after I came to WJMA I sent an air check to a friend who had worked at our college radio station. He just couldn't get over hearing an obituary from "Freddy's Funeral
