5D biedt leerwerkplekken aan voor jongeren met een (on)zichtbare beperking. Bij 5D kan iedereen meedoen.

Wij kijken eerst samen naar je (verborgen) talenten en mogelijkheden. Als het nodig is zoeken we daarna in overleg met jou naar geschikte aanpassingen zodat je met plezier kunt leren en werken bij 5D.

Je krijgt veel ruimte om jezelf te ontwikkelen in onze dynamische culturele organisatie. Bij 5D werk je in een informele sfeer met collega’s in een hecht teamverband.

Wij zijn 5D! We stimuleren een inclusieve samenleving door culturele- en theateractiviteiten te ontwikkelen met mensen met en zonder handicap. We maken voorstellingen en theatrale installaties, organiseren kleine theaterbijeenkomsten, bieden bedrijven theaterworkshops aan en we geven toegankelijkheidsadviezen aan theaterfestivals en andere culturele evenementen. Daarnaast hebben we leerwerkplekken voor jongeren met een (on)zichtbare handicap of beperking.

Functieomschrijving

Ben jij benieuwd wat er allemaal gebeurd achter de schermen bij een voorstelling of evenement? Wil je leren wat er geregeld moet worden wanneer je verantwoordelijk bent voor het organiseren van een voorstelling of evenement? 5D zoekt jongeren die willen aanpakken en die het leuk vinden om samen met kunstenaars en theatermakers hun dromen en wensen waar te maken. Als medewerker theaterproductie ga je de productieleiding ondersteunen in het produceren van theatervoorstellingen en -installaties. Je takenpakket wordt in overleg met de productieleider gemaakt en afgestemd op jouw niveau. Tegelijkertijd vergroot je je stressbestendigheid en je communicatievaardigheden. Van april tot oktober, voor 12-18 uur per week.

De leerwerkplek

Het team van 5D bestaat uit mensen met én zonder handicap. Professionals en jongeren werken samen aan diverse culturele- en theaterprojecten. Op ons kantoor in Amsterdam West werkt een klein vast team van medewerkers. Er heerst een informele sfeer waar collega’s in een hecht teamverband werken en ruimte is om te leren en jezelf te ontwikkelen.

Dit ga je doen

•Regelen repetitieruimtes en catering
•Regelen rekwisieten en andere benodigdheden voor de voorstelling
•Regelen vervoer voor spelers, decor en techniek
•Verzorgen draaiboeken en planningen
•Contact onderhouden met spelers, regisseur, dramaturg, decor- en kostuumontwerper en technici
•Realiseren van plannen binnen gesteld termijn en budget
•Repetities bijwonen om op de hoogte te blijven van ontwikkelingen
•Link zijn tussen het artistieke team, de cast, de techniek, afdeling communicatie en locatie
•Medewerkers en vrijwilligers aansturen
•Bewaren overzicht over productie van de voorstelling
•Onderzoeken van mogelijkheden van ideeën en plannen die je zelf bedenkt of die er liggen
•Voorstellen en subsidieaanvragen schrijven
•Samen met makers, vormgevers en artistieke leiding voorstellingen ontwikkelen

Position and accountability
• Reports to and assists the Business Development Specialist in developing appealing and convincing (consortia) programme and consultancy proposals for (international) foundations, institutional donors and clients.
Responsibility
• The proposal writer manages the complete proposal development process starting from calls or request for proposals, the writing stage, coordinating between parties until the final submission.
Main tasks
• Keeping track of interesting requests, calls for proposals or terms of references 
- Keep the subscriptions of Light for the World with international donors up to date (e.g. USAID, EuropeAid).
- Analysing calls or requests for proposals, and assess their relevance for Light for the World.

• Develop proposals for institutional donors and (international) foundations 
- Define the development process, efficiently managing deadlines, ensuring completeness and accuracy of the proposal content and financial data.
- Gather and format information, in close cooperation with the disability inclusion advisors and other specialists to ensure feasibility at the implementation stage. 
- Write concept notes and full proposals that demonstrate a clear Theory of Change, well defined result areas, measurable results, budgets and impact.

• Develop consultancy proposals for clients based on their requests 
- Define the development process, efficiently managing deadlines, ensuring completeness and accuracy of the proposal content and financial data.
- Gather and format information, in close cooperation with the disability inclusion advisors and other specialists to ensure feasibility at the implementation stage. 
- Write technical and financial proposals that demonstrate the Light for the World evidence-based training and advice methodology on disability inclusion, clear deliverables, realistic timetable, adequate budget and impact.

• Creating appealing texts and plans of existing programmes, for promotional purposes
- Develop project briefs based on approved project proposals.
- Coordinate the production of infographics, presentations or posters on on-going programmes.
- Assist in the implementation of the communication and fundraising strategy in on-going programmes.

We are looking for a proposal writer with the following knowledge, skills, experience and abilities
Knowledge
• Master’s degree in international development studies, human rights, communication or an equivalent discipline.
Professional qualifications
• A proven track record in writing successful (complex) project and programme proposals
• Excellent analytical and writing skills as well as financial literacy
• Professional fluency in writing in English and Dutch (while French and Portuguese are considered an asset)
• Full IT proficiency (Microsoft)
Personal qualifications
• Affinity with the vision and mission of Light for the World and knowledge of developments on disability inclusion.
• Familiarity with policy frameworks of governments and international foundations
• Result-oriented, proactive team player and able to support colleagues in developing and writing proposals

Op 28 september komen werkgevers naar Arnhem om kennis te maken met werkzoekenden met een visuele beperking.

Er komen werkgevers uit de provincies Overijssel, Gelderland, Limburg en Utrecht. Voorafgaand aan de meet & greet is er een workshop ‘solliciteren met een visuele beperking’. De workshop wordt gegeven door Frieda Dijkhof. Zij heeft een cursus over solliciteren met een visuele beperking gevolgd bij de European Blind Union. Tijdens de meet & greet kun je het geleerde meteen in praktijk brengen.

De Oogvereniging organiseert samen met Onbeperkt aan de Slag (www.onbeperktaandeslag.nl) een Meet & greet speciaal voor blinden en slechtzienden. De Oogvereniging nodigt sprekers uit die werken en een visuele beperking hebben.

Blinde garagehouder

Voorafgaand aan het pitchen vertelt Henk Voskuilen, die blind is, over zijn eigen garagebedrijf in Houten. In zijn bedrijf biedt hij werk aan jongeren met een afstand tot de arbeidsmarkt. Henk speelt ook een hoofdrol in de documentaire “De autovakmannen”, een documentaire over de hedendaagse autobranche.
Het AD bracht daarover het artikel ‘Bijna blinde Houtenaar speelt hoofdrol in documentaire‘.
Ook ‘Hart van Nederland‘ besteedde er aandacht aan.

Pitchen

Op deze meet & greet krijgen werkzoekenden de kans om voor een zaal vol werkgevers een pitch te houden: vertellen wie ze zijn, wat ze kunnen en wat voor werk ze zoeken. Zo breng je jezelf op een positieve manier onder de aandacht van werkgevers.

Meldt uw ervaringen bij de Oogvereniging

De Oogvereniging voert driemaandelijks overleg met UWV, directie strategie en beleid en met het ministerie van Sociale Zaken en werkgelegenheid. We stellen in deze overleggen allerlei zaken aan de orde die te maken hebben met vergoedingen van werkplekaanpassingen. Een van de onderwerpen is de soms lange aanvraagprocedures bij het UWV. Daar wil het UWV graag iets aan doen. Zie hieronder een resultaat:

Om snellere toekenningen van werkplekaanpassingen te realiseren heeft het UWV heeft proces nu zo ingeregeld dat werkenden een zogenaamde “lege aanvraag” kunnen indienen zodra ze een baan hebben. Alle gegevens hoeven dan nog niet aangeleverd te worden. Het hoeft nog niet duidelijk te zijn aan welke aanpassingen men precies behoefte heeft. Na indiening van deze “lege aanvraag” krijgen aanvragers een arbeidsdeskundige toegewezen. Deze neemt zelf op zeer korte termijn contact op met de werknemer om het proces in de gaten te houden en z.s.m. voorzieningen toe te kennen. De Oogvereniging houdt samen met het UWV in de gaten of deze aanpak werkt en inderdaad resulteert in kortere toekenningstermijnen. In september 2017 evalueren de Oogvereniging en het UWV of de aanpakt werkt. Het UWV heeft de Oogvereniging gevraagd de leveranciers en de achterban op de hoogte te brengen van deze nieuwe aanpak. Het is de bedoeling dat deze aanpak een versnelling in het aanvraagproces oplevert. Vanaf begin augustus heeft het UWV 5 mensen fulltime vrijgemaakt om het aanvraagproces op de lange termijn te verbeteren.

Bij deze dus aan leveranciers en mensen met een visuele beperking die de komende maanden werkplekaanpassingen aanvragen de vraag om hun positieve en negatieve ervaringen met de aanvraagprocedure te melden bij de Oogvereniging.
