Hi all anyone have (or know a source of) the now obsolete NE3515S02 HEMT to repair my F1OPA 10GHz EME preamp? Or anyone know of a drop-in replacement? I had a sequencer fail yesterday and it's taken out the first device. Any help gratefully accepted!! 73 John G4BAO |

Have you considered the other CEL device, often used in 10G front ends: You'd have to compare datasheets ... I suspect it is very similar in DC terms, I have not examined the S paramters to hazard a guess at how close the noise match will be though, but it is cheap enough to be worth a try. Hello John A message to you which I had partially completed just decided to disappear. I have some 3514s and you'd be welcome to a couple if they'd help. Modern HEMTS all seem to have very similar real world performance at 10GHz: I've designed and made something like 20 different preamps for the band in the last couple of decades, and all have finally looked very similar on both on antenna (CS/G) and bench (HP346B/8970) measurements.
