I'm putting together a presentation on the Bell Hill beacons and want to show a bit of the RF hardware history. Has anyone got any photos, or can take some good quality ones, of the DDK004 2.6GHz source module and the WDG001 2.6 to 10.4GHz multiplier?
I no longer have any of those modules to take pictures of, and the manuals etc. from that era before digital photography, didn't tend to include photos.
A few decent pictures of this older RF hardware could usefully go on the UKuWaves site too.

Andy I have e-mailed you 2 photos of a WDG001 that I found lurking in my junk box. Dave

Tnx, but nothing in there. I got a nice pic of the WDG001 from Dave, but still lacking the DDK004.
Versions of that source formed three of the original BH beacons, and two are still in use there now, modified for RDDS locking with a tuneable VCXO.

Hi Andy,
I have a DDK004. Only one side is easily accessible. That is the
side with the xtal. It will take a little time to get in the other
side. Will this side be enough?

Andy, I think I still have the original 004, removed from the GB3MHX beacon. I'll look later and if I have, I'll photo it. What better than an original DDK-built one........grin! Sam G4DDk

OOh The original MHX one would be good From the designer as well :-)
I once built one for a one-man-band consultancy at 2.45GHz to form part of test equipment for microwave cookers
