If there is someone around the worcester/staffordshire area going portable and doesn't mind an idiot coming along, I'd be very grateful .. I have so far managed to work precisely no one on my 10G system, what I'd like to do is set up alongside and when you are working a good strong station see if I can hear them as well ... it would give me some confidence that it actually works!

up to something like 45 minutes drive from kidderminster would be OK.

Let me know ...

Tomorrow sees the next in the summer series of UKuG contests on 5.7GHz and 10GHz. Entrants can operate for a maximum of 8 hours between 0600 and 1800 GMT (0700 - 1900 BST). Full rules are here:

This session coincides with the French F8TD microwave contest, which runs to 1300GMT (1400 BST). A lot of French stations use 144.390MHz talkback, and some can also be found on ON4KST.

Thank you for your inputs for the activity list. The weather forecast looks a bit breezy but otherwise fair. Good luck to everyone taking part.

I will be on for a while portable. I was going to go to a site recommended by G3PHO but unfortunately double booked with Mrs Law who is visiting my son in Guiseley, Leeds. Fortunately there is a hill a mile from his house so I will set up there. I'll be qrv from about 12 in IO93DV.
