Just a quickie for the intelligentsia,   I have a 5.7GHz RX converter that was obtained at a Round Table from the SBRS.  It was originally made by MACOM and the strip line filter is etched on the PCB as 5.4 – 5.9GHz. It was labelled as having 1296MHz IF.  This is impractical for me but if I use a 432MHz IF can I get away with using a very tight filter with a mast head LNA to eliminate images ? I have a matching TX converter which will be easy to get going.
