Pluto SRD and GNURadio - help!

Jules G0NZO

I'm trying to get a Pluto ADALM working with GNU radio.
I have tried some guides on the Pluto wiki, for ubuntu, but they don't work for me.  And I can find nothing at all on Windows.
Has anyone managed this, and if so, could you point me at any info/guides you may have used.

Ta
Jules

Hi Jules,

The Windows build of GNU Radio doesn't currently include PlutoSDR support, it'll be in the next build.

For Ubuntu, I don't have a PlutoSDR but can probably help you get it working. I've sent you a direct message. If anyone else has a PlutoSDR and is having trouble getting it working with GNU Radio let me know. It will get a bit easier as the software matures. It's still very recently released.

Cheers,
Derek

Hi Jules,

You are not alone a lot of people at GRCon17 were having this problem.
I managed to get it to work by installing the latest gr-iio from source.

You can also use the FMCOMMS source/sink and set the ip address to
192.168.2.1 However Analog have changed the interface from the Radio
old version needed short to float conversion followed by float to complex

The new version comes out as complex float so no change is required.

My description is probably as clear as mud but it does work!

You can use SDR# with it on Windows.

I managed to get it to work on ubuntu using pybombs. I don't quite remember how, but this was compiled from source so maybe try that?
