Anyone got any info on this meter??

I would like to know what model heads it can use??

Hi Simon,

I've sent, by direct email to you, a pdf file giving info on the power
meter. It's taken from an official Marconi Instruments 1980/81 catalogue I
happen to have!

Looks like it uses the same heads as my 6460/3 powermeter. The heads are
available in 10mW, 100mW and 3W max input. Usually the 100mW ones go for
around 45 second hand. If you find a source please let me know! I have one
spare but would would like another, perhaps a 3W one or one going up to
18GHz. Most of the surplus ones go up to 12GHz OK. Some have waveguide
input but most I've seen have an N socket.

These heads are VERY fragile. Drop one onto the bench and it will most
likely not work again. Overload them and they are faster than fuses!

Your meter looks nice, being programmable.

Cheers,

Peter, G3PHO
