VHF Design Preamp mounting ?
Sam, Is your DG8 Preamp just contained in a plastic waterproof box? Does it need any extra shielding in hi RF areas? Regards, Rich G8ZHA

Hi Speed Comparator operation

Pump up Masts
Thanks for all the replies about the pump up masts. Could I ask about mounting them on a wall. The attached pic shows the rear of my new shack. The corner is built from 440 * 210 * 100 concrete blocks

SPI Software
AD also do a VHF/UHF version, somewhat cheaper. I just want some software that will allow me to specify a number of bytes to be sent, then to allow me to load up the bytes and send them.

Are LEDs a noise source
The 12V to 5V is a 7805 linear reg, but the 12V is probably via a SMPS. I will make sure I have some filtering on the 12V input at the preamp. Rich

I have just built a G4DDK PGA-103 preamp to use for ADSB receive on 1090MHz. The preamp will be mounted up on a pole, directly underneath a PCB antenna, in a plastic tube. I feed 12V up to the preamp
