Indeed it's a useful tool, but so far they are all a bit too slow to tune anything with but i agree Alberto has done a fantastic job with the Pluto Geoff GI0GDP

Well there you go, i do the opposite and haven't switched my SAQ in over a year (i suppose when i do there will be aggro getting it going again) But the SAA-2 really is way ahead in frequency perhaps

Hi John, I have only SEQ2 details but they may be similar. So the gate is controlled via 3v zener. Have you monitored the gate voltage when you let the ptt go? Are you sure the other two IRF520s have

Nano VNA SAA-2N and G3XDY QRO filter
The only snag is the time to sweep a filter and with the software i use i see no continuous sweep facility like the NanoVNA has, but yes good value and very easy to use especially the calibration Geof

Matching LDMOS device
HI Paul, That wouldn't be far off if the Vp =0.666 for the coax and the wavelength is 200cm then 0.125 x0.666x 200 =16.5 cm cheers Geoff GI0GDP

Hi Paul, Yes the input could be done with a resitive padder attenuator or what ever you like but it's a tad untidy but yes you could as the gain in LDMOS is at times quite high, OK the coax length for

Hi Clive, You dont say what the original device was in this case. The VNA reading is what not the old device as its broken? anyway the if its the old device its too high and the sign is probably wrong

HPIB(GPIB) to USB
Hi Wilko, Thanks for that, i came across it and the one published in Elektor back in 2011 i think. Its certainly worth a try for the cost of an Arduino and a 24 pin centronics socket thanks Geoff GI0G

ADF4351 Output power
Last night i discovered that all of my ADF4351 boards have their outputs returned to supply volts via a 50R resistor, i suppose to make one size fit all needs and if you want you can change it. Not ha
