Have you considered a schrader valve, giving it a (very) gentle pump of air with a bike pump and then looking for where the bubbles are getting in? I suspect it may be a thermal cycling issue ... heat

13cms bandpass filter
I have can hear a bit of "fizz" in some directions, but overall, not bad. I have a very poor setup on 13cm though ... the transverter has a poor noise figure and I can't really turn the PA up very muc

I suspect if you look with an analyser you will discover the problem is out-of-band, but still very strong. Filtering as others have said will solve this. A good interdigitial filter will work wonders

I've always used silicon spray ... and I have trace heating tape wrapped around it, with a frost stat .. my biggest worry is it freezing with water in it and distorting the tubes ...
