DF9IC 23cm 250W PA copper heatspreaders available

I've just made a new batch of the heatspreaders for DF9IC 23cm 2 x MRFE6S9160 PAs if anyone needs one (or two, or four...). 100mm x 71.3mm x 12mm with milled 0.68mm FET slot and coax pocket, small-format N socket threaded holes, mounting holes and PCB fixing threaded holes. All faces are milled flat and square  It fits into the standard tinplate box that Henning specifies.  Please contact me off list neil@... or via Twitter @g4dbn

The FETS are still available from UTSource for around $14 in one-off. My best one will do 310W saturated on 30V for 7.5W in.  I use water cooling and they will do 30 minutes key-down full power without stress.

I have a fair stock of C111 copper bar, so if anyone needs heatspreaders for other SSPAs, I am always happy to make them up.  There should be some huge signals out there on 23cm, I've now shipped 41 of these spreaders to about ten different countries. Mates rates for UKuG members of course!

I might be adding a second dish on my mast. How close can dishes for
different bands be placed ?

They're both PF, and will be different diameters, if that makes any
difference.

I reckon you could position them very close together without any problem.

I bought a s/h video distribution amplifier and feeding in 10MHz from sig gen the o/p looks ok to me, no distortion or such but no doubt someone will say you shouldn't use such, non-isolated, non this or that or some other technical aspect Paul. 

Still, it looks ok here so I guess I'll find out later the hard way, hi.

The Pluton complex with its ADU-1000 antennas didn’t do too badly even if it had some of its dishes “trimmed” to fit (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pluton_(complex))

 

I think your problem would be more along the lines of procuring  submarines, bridges and gun turrets for the mount.

Ignore the frequency doubler part of this and just use the opamp section. 

Now, I'd also add 1:1 isolation transformers to break up earth loops, or at least be prepared to use them on some of the users.  
Had one or two interactions with loop injected interference.

Its a little link, shown on the diagram that came with the set or on their website. 

Needs a tiny iron as its an smd link. 

Looking at the set, sockets on the left, its just in from the 2nd socket down, needs moving I think from horizontal to vertical, or vice v etc.
