Re: ADF4351 boards again [3 Attachments]
I am just wondering why it is felt necessary to use a Pic rather than theArduino for the final version.
Why not just use an Arduino ?

I will try Dimension 4, also recommended by Tony G4NBS.
Spent some time last night trying to set up MSK on MSHV. Receiving OK but I need to check the PC line out as I have nothing at

Re: Here is your December edition of RF and Microwave Source
I'm not sure that there is isn't something else going on. I used to buy my largish quantities of Avago parts from a well known UK company (now French owned, I believe) and now I'm told the Avago parts

Yes, tnx to all who replied (here and individually) pointing at Mouser.
You clearly use them as first point of call - with me its always Farnell
then RS. I've just ordered a couple - they do look

The ADL5375 400MHz to 6GHz quadrature upconverter looked particularly
appealing, so looked on the Farnell web site. Would you believe, it's "No
Longer Stocked"
Then on to RS...

Hi Peter,
Very interesting that your clock speed increases when running more apps – Irun several Dell Optiplex machines, and also a Dimension, and have never noticedthis, but then I’ve never

Surprised I see no answer to your query Peter but http://www.thinkman.com/dimension4/ is mentioned in the manual for WSJT. You can schedule it to synchronise as often as you wish

1296.328MHz MSK144 Beacon Now off
As per subject line.
I won't be putting it on tomorrow, unless there are any special requests. Not least as the timing needs to be sorted out - it would be good to be able to keep within a second in

Re: 1296.328MHz MSK144 Beacon On Again
I wasn't. I was curious if it could decode at those narrow bandwidths and pleased and surprised it did.
I usually keep the bandwidth at 3kHz unless there is a close by, interferer. I prefer the sound

Not sure its a good idea to go reducing the bandwidth for the sake of it. The waveform is over 2kHz wide, and filtering to a narrow bandwidth will only degrade the decoding process. If it were

Re: 1296.328MHz MSK144 Beacon On Again
It's on a heading of 348 now, so you are significantly off the side. The QL appears to have plenty of sidelobes so they could be helping, or perhaps the reflection bursts are just too frequent
