Re: LMX2541
Dear Chris,
I still have one of the Mutek HF Transverters- use it with an IC202.
One day, I must measure its performance- by ear it’s rather impressive.
Totally agree that a good VHF xtal

I never though of using a small relay to generate the voltage for each side.
Cool - only issue I could think of if yet another delay to take into account but that is minor.

Re: Latching Relays
Just fitted latching ae relay in my 9Cm.
PTT goes to small 12v DPDT relay, center to pos, then normally closed contact to rx side of ae relay, and the normally open to tx side. Seems to work ok, 2

Re: Latching Relays
Hi Tom,
You could make the W6PQL (or any other circuit) on vero board using equivalent thru hole components.
Just sayin'

Think read your message correct. I use mostly latch relays. The common type which latch over once voltage is applied to the perspective pin and the current is switched off inside the relay.

Latching Relays
Anyone have a solution to a latching Relay board - just want to feed in PTT and let it worry about switching.
I know G4HUP used to do one but they are no longer available. The W6PQL one does work

GB3FNM 2.3GHz Off-air temporarily - upgrade for real this time!
Folks,
The 13cm beacon from Farnham on 2320.920MHz went off air today for upgrade work.
GPS locked operating frequency and an MGM mode anticipated.
We will endeavour to return the beacon into service

Re: Tower base dimensions
If there are towers going, please keep me in mind. I have a need for one in November sort of time, all being well. Won't need to be a big one, and I can arrange removal.

What would be useful, but unfortunately does not exist in the KST protocol, is some way to indicate which bands you are QRV on, sadly, this was not designed into the protocol specification and relies

Re: Tower base dimensions
Thanks Martin,
Yes I have seen this but unfortunately it does not give dimensions for the bigger tower. Yes the Westower is very different with a 6 bolt mounting.

I expect you have seen this, but just in case. It does refer to the HD Versatower base post, with some photos, maybe of some use.
I also have the Westower

Re: Tower base dimensions
Paul,
Drop Chris GM3WOJ an email, I think he has a few of those towers and probably has all the info to hand, if it was a Westower, I could have helped, but not a Versatower, although I do know where

Re: LMX2541
It doesn't help that people STILL keep referring to the bands by their approximate wavelength.
It's the 3.4GHz band, not 9cm, etc.
More keywords to alert on in KST

Yes, sorry, old habits ... its like all these weird people moving from 2320 to 2300 .. new fangled frequencies, it will never catch on.

Can anyone help me with the dimensions of the baseplate for an 80' HD versatower. I need:
Base widths
and thickness,
Triangular fillets (I think there are two sizes) long and short edges

you won't work many on 3456 these days.
Try 3400 Mhz.

Murphy gives a probability of 0% getting the polarity correct if you hard-wire the I/Q channels.
But if you thought ahead and built in an I/Q swap via switch or links. In which case it will be right
