Re: smb plug?
Managed to mod the little tube adaptor, had to file the centre pin on the sma socket though just a little, then soldered the legs to the body.
Run out of pcb mounting sockets but will mod the i/p

It never ceases to amaze me at the ingenuity of radio hams, hi.
Great Martin, that solves one of my problems, must press on and get it going, hi.
Many thanks, Ben G4BXD

Martin check you have actually got a three wire earthed lead suppled with the desktop. I have found leads with IEC con and metal Earth pins but onlt L and N connected through. If this is the case

Martin,
I have this amp and need to alter the in/out. How did you get the input and output sockets off the board?
I can see the socket edge soldering but cannot get to the centre pin. How did you do

Thanks for the offer of the Tonna. I think it is a problem with the design which I can probably sort out with some silicon sealer when the dry weather comes!
The cost of a circulator is much more

Hi Dave,
I know the feeling. I have just modified a Nokia PA for 437MHz DATV. Basically it was a matter of supplying 28v to the right pins and 12v to switch it on. A couple of 'links' to enable things

Ungar
I have a working Ungar 9900 soldering station , but no iron , no longer made .........
Using various loads instead of a 24 volt iron element , it appears to be good .
Does anyone perhaps have any info

3cm personal beacon frequencies
Just looked at the RadCom RSGB band plan and so are personal beacons in:-
10,400-10,475 MHz
or under local beacons:-
10,368.750 to 800 MHz
cheers

WTB: HP 5086-7781 YIG module
I don´t suppose any one has for sale or can repair a HP 5086-7781 YIG for my HP-8562A? I have left it to one side for long enough, its time that I fixed it.
