Hi Dave

As you see above ..unless someone comes up with a fix KST is not an option ..if you run Windows 10 ..might be worth checking yours!

Take off in your direction for me is very poor..however I can rx the CCX beacon about S5 if I beam at Dunkery direction  about 310 degrees from here..so that would probably be best for you .
/ if not please send me a request to join your Zello entry ..I am logged as G4UVZ/
Just done a Zello search for G4GLT...but no results??
Zello is deffinitely favourite for me are you on SHF chat ...just did a Zello search for G4GLT...but no results

Hello Adrian,
I am not far away from you at IO80DO. I will be on during the first half of sunday. What time are you due to start? I am happy to call you on and off on your beam heading for the first 20 mins on a set frequency. (10,368.150mhz ?) I do have Zello and KST2Me .

Right OK John,

You have shamed me into it ;) I've dug out the paddle.

I'm pretty sure I got rid of my stand alone memory keyer, that would be handy as a beacon to line up on.

Maybe there is a PIC design somewhere in internet land that I can build in to the transverter box.

Re: Tuesday night 23cms

Umm -  what a surprise I had on Tuesday!

I have not been active for a couple of years and after a rebuild of the of the station I Thought (?) that 100 W into 67 Ele with DDK preamp would net a good few contacts.

Observations:

Just prior to 20:00 copied two PA stations and one station on the IOW.
So despite being in a “hole”  50 M ASL with local surrounding ground rising to 80 M ASL I expected an interesting evening.

Of course  after 20:00 no sign of the PA stations and no signal from IOW.

After 2 hours I noted a /P station giving a report of 70 QSOs – and I was 9 !  Others in IO83 were doing better than me.

I did work stations  in IO  and JO with broadly reciprocal similar signal reports so my kit appears to be matched (RX v TX).

I did notice that conditions were not good (Martelsham well down on normal).

Though as has been asked/ said on many occasions those of you who “in the south” Please look North after you have worked  F, DL, ON, PA ect.

This is not a whinge just that some of us in the NW and Midlands would appreciate a couple of QSOs more.

Cheers
Simon

Activity may also have increased because because of the IC-9700 becoming available.
I am back on the band for the first time since the 1980s due to my purchase of the 9700.
Just need to get the antenna outside rather than in the loft.

Never know, dream big! Just needs some rain. As far as I know, there's no Android implementation for JT modes and no replacement for practice to improve your Morse skills!

Thanks John,

That is great, 304 K, might be a bit far for my first outing and with only 1/4 watt, but what do I know.

If I'm successful with Denis, I'll give you a MEEP.

I am hoping to try from some of the Lakeland fells soon, but that will be with just a 22dBi Horn.

My CW, is not good and no Digimodes for /p yet, but I'll give that some thought, which mode do you use 3cm's and is there a Android version ?

Having failed miserably last month to make any contacts on 3cms ..I reacquainted myself with the KST thing about 3 weeks ago ,,,eventually got it working ...checked it out today and I am locked out again!!! see attached ,,I think Win 10 had a recent update so assume this is why it won't work.  Any ideas anyone???

Good afternoon folks.

For information

Constructed by Jean-Paul F5AYE,  It has already been heard in IN97.

Nothing heard so far here.  It is in a good location so when conditions allow you should hear it.

Hi Nick
I'll be on KST from 1900 local with Denis.

IO84 would be a new square for me so I'm keen to try CW or Digimodes

Sorry, no 144 talkback here just too noisy to hear stuff beyond the end of the street :-)
