Try to listen when the moon is in DUE south. Then the dobbler shift is minimal.

I've spent the last two mornings, chasing the moon and watching on Spectan, with no sign of ON0EME, which according to the status page is running.

I've noted the doppler, I've also mounted the SG-Labs LNA at the aerial with around 30cm's patch lead.

Getting a bit disheartened. Should I wait till the weekend of 6/7 July and hope there will be some larger signal on?

Can you attach the LNA direct to the antenna feedpoint?
What coax are you using between the LNA and feedpoint? You may have said already.
Where are you located?

I think it might be a case of white/coloured pots being made from PP and the clear tubs, PET.  Margerine tubs f'rinstance go off badly all by themselves with age, never mind with paint in them.

I have three old Motorola EVM56002 DSP boards.  The mainstay of amateur DSP before soundcards.
Was going to junk them - wonder if they're worth putting on Ebay.  I'd GIVE them away if I thought anyone was really interested.

It does not look great, very marginal paths to the highest peaks on the pennines but nothing beyond...
Here's the polar plot from radiomobile with 2w/30dB antennas either end, -110dBm sensitivity.

The NY Moors are hard going when it comes to going west unless you use Sutton bank but it's not great for uW at the avalable sites.

Summer Heat?

YOU ARE BOTH RIGHT  - paint comes with different solvents from plant based to petrochemical. There are very many different plastics too.  But Aluminium foil will always be safe ( apart from some etching primers).  There is a strong trend towards water based paints for no VOC paints (Volatile Organic Compounds ) -they should be safe for most plastics apart from Radcom wrappers.

Hi Martyn. Glad to see you are ALMOST coming East of the meridian! 😁
Any chance you could bring 24GHz? I'd love to have a try while ur over here as none of the usual suspects come that far east with that band and QSO opportunities are few and far between. I should be around with 10GHz for some of the contest.

periods split by at least an hour.

As usual I will compile an activity list for the event. Please send

I have a similar setup put together by someone else.  The heatsinking seems fairly minimal. I am wondering whether I need to repackage it.  Will you be at Finningley?

It will be nice to work you again Rob, but as you say it maybe a bit difficult.

If you find a location for me to go to let me know.

Hi Martyn. Glad to see you are ALMOST coming East of the meridian! 😁
Any chance you could bring 24GHz? I'd love to have a try while ur over here as none of the usual suspects come that far east with that band and QSO opportunities are few and far between. I should be around with 10GHz for some of the contest.

The second contests in the 2019 series of events on 5.7GHz and 10GHz
take place next Sunday 30th June. You can operate for any 8 hour period
between 0600 and 1800GMT (0700 - 1900BST) either in one session or two
periods split by at least an hour.

As usual I will compile an activity list for the event. Please send
details of your planned operation in the usual format:
