Ben, looking at your initial post you said the SMBs you had would not fit??  I quickly put my vernier across the section above the grouve and measured 3.66mm. If your genuine SMBs dont fit I am doubting it being SMB. There are a load of different sub-min coax connectors,and I rather doubt a self-aligning one would be used on the PCB in that position.
 
I do have some crimp SMB plugs, if the size is right I can send one to try.

Had not heard of that type, it might well be looking at the plugs on ebay.

If it wobbles a bit then it's probably SMP which are designed for blind mate with axial and radial misalignment
