Qatar’s Es’hailSat 2 satellite will provide the first amateur radio geostationary communications that could link amateurs from Brazil to India. The satellite is expected to launch by the end of 2016 and will be positioned at 26 degrees East.

The uplinks of the two transponders will be in the 2.400-2.450 GHz and the downlinks in the 10.450-10.500 GHz amateur satellite service allocations.
