This group is for those interested in traditional folk tunes of the sort to be found in the British Isles, Ireland, Mainland Europe, America, Australia and many other places - playable on fiddles, pipes, melodeons, whistles, etc. - usually built up of 8-bar phrases - often used for dancing - anything from Playford to O'Carolan, from the Bush Dance tune to the Strathspey.

It is a place where people can swap tunes in abc or midi format, show off their new tunes, seek forgotten tunes, ask for information on the history of tunes, anything to do with tunes.

It is for the musician, the historian, the caller who wants to match a tune with a dance, the recording musician who wants to check a copyright, and anyone else who is interested in this particular musical form.
