Jabirus were never designed to fit to an aircraft in a ‘free air’ cooling configuration. Work fine in a correctly designed cowl installation line in my Skyranger.

Sadly I think it was weight and the stick free phugoid that killed it off. The phugoid was fixable but the weight may have been more of an issue.
