thru Newsmedia. TS has not commented or disclosed financial details
or disputed information reported by Newsmedia. What is more critical
and far reaching are the rights given away by TS in exchange for the
lease money. TS leaders may not have the authority to give away some
of the rights as they tie the hands of TS far into the future.
As a
tax exempt Society, there may be rights they cannot give away to
another entity. TS leaders have not shown interest in
transparency even though contract is not
secret. The deal is huge - Rs 512crores and
lasts 43 years.
It is time for members and public to
demand Registrar of Societies to probe the deal to
determine if TS has violated the law.
