American Section & Fetzer Trust

M K Ramadoss

John Fetzer, a very successful American Businessman set up $500 million dollar foundation. He had lifelong interest in Channeling and Mediums.

Fetzer Trust is partnering with American Section and offering a Quest ebook for free. Trust must be generous in helping American Section when it very badly needs money.

Today there was an offer by the Trust - a free video and study guide on A Course in Miracles, a work claimed directly dictated by Lord Jesus thru channelling

Is American Section/Krotona going to offer online courses in mediumship and channelling?

Fetzer Trust will be very generous

Dear Sir,
Very nice write up on Bro. T. Subba Rao. It fondly revived his sweet memories and valuable contribution to Theosophical movement. I have also read your book on T. Subba Rao which is also very good. By the way can you give me some information about Judge N.D.Khandalawala? Thank You. With Greetings, Shashank.D.Burse

The contribution of T Subba Row to the Theosophical Movement is indeed very valuable.
Having read Isis Unveiled he entered into correspondence with HPB,  which lead to a long and cherished association with both the Founders. His first letter to HPB shows his eager interest in Occult Science and the ‘Ineffable word’. He was instrumental for Founders’ visit to Madras and the location of HQ at Adyar. He had put in his efforts to formulate and systematize the philosophy of Theosophy. His Occult knowledge, highly appreciated by the Adepts occasionally, also speaks for his Chelaship of One among Them, even before the establishment of the theosophical association and his joining that.
He was very sensitive to Occult literature and its practices, could not tolerate the sacrilege to that Science such as teaching to ineligible persons. He was not averse to Teaching the Westerners. He edited The Theosophist on behalf of HPB when she was away from HQ, Chennai. He was a member of the Council and also the Counsel for TS. A Medal was constituted in his name, at the insistence of a Master, to be awarded to an author every year. He lived a very short life of 33 years. Childless, he authorized his wife to adopt a boy.
He was the Secretary and later President of Madras Theosophical Society’s Branch. He did not appear to have visited any places, including Eluru and Kakinada (his native places in the composite Madras presidency, now in Andhrapradesh) on any Lecture tour for the TS. Perhaps his professional work being a very busy Lawyer at Madras did not permit him the time. But he had many chelas for himself, to mention a few: C Ramiah, VVSAvadhani, Subramania Iyer, Bhavani Shanker ; Ookley, CWL etc.) He helped many on the Path.
It was his desire to retire early from the professional work, and lead a retired and relaxed life to write Books on Prasthanatraya. Kapila was his Ideal. He had contacts with Jupiter and other Masters. He was to be an assistant author for The Secret Doctrine, but for reasons already on record did not work on it. He liked the Proem. HPB, the author, immortalized him by immensely quoting from his Bhagavad-gita Lectures. His statements on Occult Philosophy stand the test of time.
HPB made 3 prophesies in her Obituary note on him: He should come back soon; be born in South India; and must have longer life. They were, it appears, fulfilled.

Over the years I’ve practiced meditation and precepts I have encountered through reading and personally practicing mindful awareness. My sources include Krishnamurti, gurdjieff, Crowley, the Gita, Blavatsky, Jung among others. It is a belief from my experience that we are connected to a universality the Jung in particular called the collective consciousness. I find this concept to be true from my experience. Of course, everyone must find their own path.

Each of us contains the spark of universal consciousness and one of the reasons we have the gift of awareness is to recognize this.

The spark is a part of the whole and therefore contains the whole. The is no separation between me and the universe.

Thanks for posting the info.
Theosophists around the world have done and are doing outstanding job.

But currently, American Section has a serious existential issue on its hand.
The current leaders have inherited the problem - it is lack of diversity in its membership.

This has dawned on some of us due to BLS movement. Current websites taking money from theosophical sources have been silent for obvious reasons.

Theosophy News, being financially independent, has publicised it here and in Facebook and Twitter. The membership in USA has been dwindling and last figure we have is from 2017. The count is 3,323 and today's numbers are unavailable and suspect it is around 3,000. Four decades ago it was 8,000 and the drop is shocking.

Unless diversity happens, in time current organization would disappear.

We are all waiting to hear from the leaders what their plans are.

Anyone wants to comment?

Is this not Brotherhood Theosophy talks about?

A group called People of Praise came into focus due to nomination of Amy Coney Barrett, for Supreme Court vacancy in USA. This group came into being in 1970 and have more than 1700 followers in USA. They all belong to various Christian denominations.

Part of the focus is the “lifelong promise of love and service to fellow community members, … a covenant commitment,” that members make “which establishes our relationships as members of the People of Praise community,” according to their website, which added “our covenant is neither an oath nor a vow, but it is an important personal commitment” among people who “support each other financially and materially and spiritually.”

Theosophists struggling to understand real meaning of Brotherhood can see how groups like this in USA are practicing “Brotherhood”.

By the way, Amy has adopted two kids from Haiti who are afro american, which speaks for itself!

Peace
