LEADERS HAVE TO BE IN CONSTANT CONTACT WITH THEIR FOLLOWERS ---
The mark of a leader is that he/she is in constant contact with their followers. Today social media is the medium of choice due to its efficiency and speed. Leaders in addition are in physical contact which is shows they are really interested in the welfare of the followers. Trump is showing the way how any leader can be in constant contact. No matter whether you agree with him or not, the fact is he is working very hard to keep in contact with the world, And leaders can learn a lesson.

In the world of divine wisdom. It is upside down. You all know what is going on and the consequences.

In addition self inflicted wounds of secret unexplained kicking out dedicated members (Ramu and Krishnaphani) and the secret interlock with the so called unrelated esoteric section is showing its effect. When every spiritual related organization is growing, we are sadly witnessing membership shrinking and making it very difficult to talk to prospects about theosophy. They Google and get their information and nothing can be hidden today.

What is the cure? More talk and talk using unintelligible terminology?

Anyone has any ideas?

NEXT MANVANTARA -- INDICATION OF ---

United States celebrated Thanksgiving day. President Trump was in Afghanistan visiting the troops and he stated:

"We will continue to work tirelessly for the day when all of you can go home to your families, and that day is coming very soon."

All peace loving men and women (wars only bring mass destruction and pain and suffering) should support the determination of Trump to end wars and bring the men and women back home as there is no reason for wasting the lives of young men and women for political whims or arrogance.

Interesting note: The trip was planned with greatest secrecy and his posting Tweets continued to avoid raising suspicions of his whereabouts.

@realDonaldTrump account posted an unremarkable tweet wishing Americans a happy Thanksgiving. That tweet and several other retweets late Wednesday and early Thursday had in fact been scheduled ahead of time to avoid arousing suspicions around a President who rarely goes a dozen hours without taking to social media.

Trump rarely goes a dozen hours without Tweeting.

This made me thinking. Theosophy talks about Manvantara – a very long time our intellect cannot even comprehend. How do you know when the new Manvantara has started? Very easy – You will see a Tweet from the leader at Adyar. So keep tuned and look for the Tweet. it's that easy!

Taking (and enjoying) Theosophy Money

M K Ramadoss

A member responded to me as follows:
Receiving salary or not accepting that is a matter depending on one's financial position and status. but what is most important and pertinent is a member's commitment and conviction in the basic tenets of theosophical philosophy and a deep sense of dedication and devotion to popularize them among the public."Sun of Theosophy shines for all."

To me, early leaders such as HPB and Olcott set Golden Standard. TS spread world-wide because of their sacrifice.

If one cannot sacrifice and needs salary and benefits (with no transparency) from theosophy money, then they are like 'Salaried Priests' and we are seeing the consequences today. Membership is shrinking. Until we get leaders like HPB and Olcott, we cannot effectively spread the truths of theosophy. We can keep on talking with high sounding vocabulary and no one pays any attention. Membership growth is an objective measure.

ESOTERIC SCHOOL OF THEOSOPHY IN AMERICA ---
According to public Federal Tax Return Form 990, it is claiming as a tax exempt church organization.

Interestingly the organization’s stated mission or most significant activities: SENDING OF EDUCATIONAL AND RELIGIOUS LITERATURE. SEMINARS AND CLASSES HELD TO EDUCATE MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC.

I have not seen any religious literature from it or nor have I seen any of their seminars and classes open to Public.

Have any of you seen any?

All we know is the unsuccessful ultimatum given to Ramsey. (Thank Internet for keeping us informed).

Surely it is not a Church unless some radical change has taken place to convert is as a Church.

Any info will help all of us to know what is going on.

By the way, Tax Exemption results in the organization to be the beneficiary of US Taxpayers and hence public has a right to know what is going on and congress wants public oversight.

THEOSOPHY IN ACTION TODAY ---
John Algeo, who did not take any salary from TS (like his successors) wrote:

"The Theosophical Society is a training ground for those individuals who will commit themselves to a wholehearted cooperation with the work of those great-souled teachers who caused the Society to be founded. The Society recruits new members to their band by spreading knowledge of Theosophy, and it welcomes back into mutual association those who were members of the band of servers in days of yore and who have come back into incarnation to continue their service and their training in how to serve."

When you look at today's leaders enjoying theosophy money directly or indirectly and mostly with no transparency, John, wherever he is, would be shocked and crying!!!

Does anyone have access to latest annual report?

While all the publicity is given to Adyar school funded with theosophy money - we will for ease call it Fatcat School (that is what it is - the tuition fee kept secret), all kind hearted theosophists cannot ignore our duty to support Olcott School catering to the poor section of Adyar. The enrolment is shrinking - the leaders dreaming the school will die a natural death and no one would be blamed. Offering right curriculum would attract enrolment. Where there is a will, there is a way.

Theosophy News and its world-wide supporters will fight for the welfare of the poor kids in Olcott School.

Universal Brotherhood

UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD - FOUNDATION OF THEOSOPHY ---

When theosophy movement was launched, the basis presented was very simple. It is based on a fact that governs the universe. All other classification are meant to distract all of us from the fact.

HPB explains:

"Māyā are at the root of every evil. If we knew what we are we would not do such things.

Everyone of us thinks he or she is a unit and something very grand in the eyes of all the authorities upstairs that you may think of; we are simply a drop of water in the ocean, not to be distinguished from another drop in the ocean, that is all we are.

This sense of separateness is at the root of all evil. You know, there is no correspondence, no analogy, except the one I gave just now."

+++++

Can you and me think that each one of us is simply a drop of water in the ocean and not to be distinguished from another drop in the ocean?

If we keep this fact in our mind and act accordingly, our interaction with everyone becomes very transparent and easy.

Think about it --- practice it in your daily life

PS: Talking about ‘ballast’ members is simply idiotic and shows only the foolishness.

Foundation Day at Adyar

TS Foundation Day at Adyar –
On Facebook saw a few pictures of the function held at the Adyar HQ. It was disappointing and sad to see how few were there.
Chennai has 7 million population and TS has been there for more than a century and those who were at the function is pitiful.
By the way neither the President or the Vice President were there. May be they are traveling to nice vacation places and enjoying theosophy money.

San Antonio, Texas USA which has about 2,000 families from India and one Diwali Day the gathering at the local Hindu Temple was nearly 1,000.

Last time Jiddu Krishnamurti visited San Antonio, he addressed a gathering of 2,500.

Future of Adyar TS does not bode well.

A turn around is needed. It can happen only when there is leadership like Olcott – someone who sacrificed everything – prime of life and all his money – and did not touch a single penny of theosophy money.

Such self sacrificing men and women attract like minded self-sacrificers and that is how great movements are built and not by salaried ‘priests’.

It is your call.

Peace

All we can do is to inform readers about issues so they can see what is going on and decide what they want to do. This is important when anyone wants to support financially or their volunteer time. Future is already obvious. Aging members and declining numbers.
Potential theosophists are now better informed before they formally join or support organizational effort. In the past they were in the dark. Now Internet shines bright light on good bad and ugly in people and organizations.

Let us all pray for a redeemer to come and cleanup kicking out all enjoyers of theosophy money.

THEOSOPHICAL ETHICS AT ADYAR --- SOME THOUGHTS

On this day, Foundation Day, this is a topic of great importance. Every theosophist knows why?

There is a saying that for an enlightened person there is no need for any rules. This is because such a person will always act most responsibly and transparently. Such was the case with Founders.

Now we are in Kali Yuga. Things have changed dramatically.

Do you know there are no guidelines of conduct for anyone involved at Adyar – Top down?

Australian Section has come up with ideas which are part of its rules. They look very good and should be applied to everyone at Adyar – Top Down.

Of course the best solution is full transparency so everyone can watch the actions of all persons of authority and responsibility including the President.

Here is the quote:

++++
Behaving honestly

As a Society member, employee or committee member you are required to act honestly while involved in activities of the Society at all times.

Conflict of interest

A conflict of interest is where your financial or other interests or those of an associate are, or may reasonably be seen to be, in opposition to your interests as a member, employee and/or committee member of the Society. An associate is taken to be a spouse, parent, child, more distant relative or business associate. A conflict of interest may come in many forms and must be managed at the earliest possible opportunity. For example, becoming involved in decision making where you, a family member or a friend has a financial or personal interest in the outcome, such as making a decision about the recipient of business from the Society, is a conflict of interest. In this and other cases, you must disclose a conflict of interest or possible potential conflict of interest immediately and in writing to your Executive Committee and take whatever action they decide is necessary to avoid a conflict of interest. If you are unsure whether a situation is a potential conflict of interest, seek advice from the President.

Accepting gifts, benefits or favours

You should not accept gifts, benefits or favours where these may influence, or may reasonably be seen to influence, your decision making. For example, accepting gifts from a contractor would normally be perceived as inappropriate regardless of the cost of the gift.

Preventing nepotism and patronage

It is unacceptable to favour your relatives (nepotism) or people you know (patronage) in your decision making and provision of service. For example, if your relatives or friends are the subject in a committee or work matter for which you are a responsible decision maker you must ensure that you are not improperly involved.

What do you think?

HELPING ADYAR TO SPREAD THEOSOPHY --- #theosophy #adyar

HELPING ADYAR TO SPREAD THEOSOPHY ---
On the eve of Foundation Day, the focus of many theosophists is Adyar. All remember the sacrifices made by the Founders and many known and unknown members around the world. Theosophy spread around the world because of self sacrifice and commitment to the Cause.

Of late what we find is shrinking membership around the world. Leadership has to come from Adyar.

Many around the world are willing and able to support any effort from Adyar. But before anyone is willing to part with their money or their sweat, they think if their money and sweat will help spread theosophy. Let us review current conditions are future direction as we all see it. And today, with Internet Social Media, the world is watching every decision – good, bad and ugly. Nothing can be hidden.

- Kicking out dedicated life members with no transparency on the sins they have committed. Olcott had such great difficulty in responding to a problem member that he sought advise from Theosophical Mahatmas. Advise was that even the bad member needs our kind thoughts and not kicking out. What are we seeing? Kicking out by TS makes excommunication by churches to be very liberal!

- Olcott and other leaders succeeded because of self sacrifice. They gave everything – prime of life and all their money - for spreading of theosophy. HPB even sold her jewelry to help theosophy.

- Today all leaders are on salary directly or indirectly. In addition all we see is their travel and enjoyment of theosophy money under the ruse of meetings and conferences in nice vacation locations.

- Olcott and all past leaders were very sensitive to transparency in money matters. Money is the weakest link for any organization. Today transparency is a joke. Money parked in USA and other places and spent with no transparency. So if you donate you do not know where it ends. There can be no compromise on transparency on money matters.

- TS was founded to spread theosophy to the suffering masses. The objectives of new ‘theosophical’ school at Adyar are great. But targeting the fatcat kids while callously neglecting the Free School established by Olcott cannot spread theosophy. It is wasting theosophy money meant to spread theosophy not run schools for the rich.

- Unless and until we get leaders who are self sacrificing, wrong headed decisions will continue and theosophy has becoming a laughing stock and who will support current policies. The continuing harm makes it difficult for anyone speak about theosophy to prospective theosophist.

- Anyone has any better idea?
