VCO TP Frequency
Don, do you have a way to download the PIC programming with a PICKIT3 and compare it to what the programming is supposed to be? I have checked, found errors in, and reprogrammed a couple others' units

Mine does. It starts out red and changes to green. It changes to red on CW transmit. It flashes red with the CW in the beacon mode. 73, Zack W9SZ

Sort of a combination. I removed R200 and L4. I put a jumper across the pads that are for R47 and C47 instead of the blue wire VA3TO showed. I also put a 68 ohm resistor across the OCXO input connecto

Hmm ... that's interesting. I ordered two boards, which I received last week. I did the OCXO mod on one board and swapped the bad one in my box for the new one with the OCXO mod. I put the 20 dB horn

VA3TO 10MHz MOD
I didn't do the exact mod that VA3TO did. I removed R200 and L4. I did not put in the blue jumper wire, as it appeared to bypass the R45 and C40 (or R46 and C41). I just put in a jumper across the pc

10MHz In Modification
I was wondering this, too. Have any modifications or improvements been done to the circuit in the boards that were just sent out? 73, Zack W9SZ

Analyzing candidate paths with Radio Mobile
You can at least look at the path on Radio Mobile (or Google Earth for that matter). You're most likely not going to work someone if there's a mountain between you and them. 73, Zack W9SZ

OK thanks, Mark. I have seen people ask for boards with parts mounted and just wondered if the board had anything on it I couldn't handle myself. i do a LOT of surface mount construction and have sold

What parts need to be mounted on the board? I haven't been able to determine that. Any SMD IC's with over 40 pins? 73, Zack W9SZ Virus-free. www.avast.com

I've used it through 24 GHz and it seems fairly accurate for paths with no enhancement. As with any similar programs, some band enhancement can change the whole scenario. 73, Zack W9SZ Virus-free. www

If you have a PICKIT3, you can update the firmware in the board to allow you to change the callsign in the CW beacon via the RS-232 port. Or you can just change the callsign in the assembly language c
