Here is a review of Iron Cross rules for WW2 by the same author that reviewed Battlefront WW2.
There are parts he liked and parts that seemed strange.
A part he like is that activation is random - one formation at a time randomly among all the troops on the board.
More realistic, but slows thing down....
He felt in part that the authors did not really understand WW2 combat. Apparently close combat (as opposed to fire combat) can be amazingly innocuous!
Also points out the Great Escape games forum is very quite (took a quick look - nothing later than 2018 posts that I could see).
