Another order

Bob <brodgers@...>

I'm sending in another order to eM-4.
I need to re-supply some items for the business.

Does anybody want me to order any of the pre-painted sets ?
(or anything else) It doesn't have to be one of the cowboy sets.

Here's a link to their site.

Club Database

Bob <brodgers@...>

I set up a database on the club yahoo site.
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Table-Top_Gaming_Society/database

Its a listing of figures that the club members have.

Its totally voluntary, but it could become a nice reference when we
want to create some huge battle or campaign and would like to pool our
resources.

I started it with the apaches I just did.
I'll begin counting my other figures and adding them as I get time.

The database is set up so any member can add or delete entries. So go
ahead and start adding your collections to the list. Please don't
delete or alter someone else's. And if there is an accidental tweak of
someone else's entry, please tell them so they can fix it.

Bob

And now for something competely different !

Bob <brodgers@...>

Hi Guys,

The South seems to be getting chastised. To the point where they may
not be able to continue much longer. Another battle or two may decide
the outcome of the campaign.

We need to do some more map moves on Friday. Its probably not going
to be too eventful because I think we're moving into night time. But
I'm sure we'll be able to line up a couple more battles.

So I thought this Friday's game should be a change of pace. After the
map moves, I thought we should try out a wild west game. So we'll do
the map moves in the kitchen and then retire to the game room for the
game. That way I can set it up ahead of time.

Since There aren't enough 28mm figures ready yet (Let's get crackin'
dudes!), I'll set up the game using my 15mm figures. I'm not sure of
all the scenario details yet but if you want to prepare for the game
I suggest you watch the westerns channel on TV every night this week
and practice talking like a cowboy. That aughta do it!

The rules will be "Long Knives".
The scale is 1 figure = 1 man.
Each player will be in charge of a force or faction.
There will be a lot of diferent factions, ie... Cavalry, Apaches,
Outlaws, Ranchers, Stagecoach, Miners, Wagon Train, Whiskey Drummer,
Townsfolk, etc.

It should be a fun change of pace.
RSVP's are always welcome.

Wholesale ordering.

Bob <brodgers@...>

Gang:

I can get a discount from my US distributor Warpath Games for any of
the product lines they carry. "BUT" there is a $200 minimum order
from the distributor so all requests will have to be combined into
one order until we get up to the minimum unless one of you wants a
lot of stuff. There is no problem mixing product lines in the order.

Here's their web site: http://www.warpathgames.com

The prices they list are retail. I pay wholesale prices. I can get
most of the items for 40% off. Some of teh lines discount a little
less. After we apply postage costs it should average out to around a
35% discount on most items.

You can also look at my website: http://www.tindictator.com
for eM-4 figures or ESLO terrain. Those wholesale discounts vary but
there are no minimum order amounts and its still cheaper than retail.

Everyone take a look and let me know if you're interested in ordering
as a group.

Re: [Table-Top_Gaming_Society] Wholesale ordering.

Actually, your order is about 15% because the requirement is "$200
Wholesale". That equates to about $320 Retail assuming about a 40%
base discount.

Bob
==============================================

Quoting Nevile Stocken <tiberiusg@...>:

OK. Please put me down for the following:

CCMGN04 - Copplestone Castings Sharpshootin Hillbillies 18.75 x 1
BSMDR003 - Black Scorpion Desolation Row Sheriff Coburn 6.75 x 1
BSMTS017 - Black Scorpion Tombstone Series Banditos 16.95 x 1
ADMAWW012 - Artizan Wild West Banditos II 10.00 x 1

That should be a little over 25% of the minimum needed for an order.

For horses, Old Glory 25's has a Civil War pack (WBS-55) that has
three dismounted horse holders and 12 horses. That's probably your
best bet.

The gatling guns are currently out of stock so we may need to wait a
while.

Another glorious Confederate VICTORY !

Bob <brodgers@...>

RICHMOND GAZETTE

Victory in Battle !
Once again the forces of the freedom-loving southern cause have sent
the theiving bluebelly yankee aggressors running for their very lives.

Three brigades of the 3rd Division, ably led my Michael, Bob, and
Richard bloodied the northerner's noses. Even though the Yankee force
was much larger and had more guns, our southern boys were up to the
task of protecting our property and women from the gutter scum the
north has been putting into uniforms.

The Northern right flank was utterly crushed and their left and
center were soon to follow. But, by then they had had enough and went
scurrying back under their collective rocks. No doubt they intend to
write scurrilious northern propaganda to try and explain away their
commander's public drunkenness and military incompetence.

VICTORIOUS ONCE AGAIN !!
GLORY TO THE CONFEDERACY !!

Long live President Jefferson Davis !

Minor Skirmish is a Stalemate

david.rodgers83 <david.rodgers@...>

THE NEW YORK TIMES

In yet another undecisive engagement, nothing has been decided. The
Union Army came upon the Army of the sourthern rebels in a deserted
valley on the heart of the Shennendoah. After an initial sizing up
the Union commander decided to try the mettle of the Rebel left. The
first thrust went well with the confederate artillery giving up the
high ground and the infantry in some dissarray.

The turning point was when the Union troops shot and stunned the
confederate officer in charge of these men. While his men did manage
to save him and get him to safety, his subcommander was up to the
challenge. Rallying the troops he formed a line and sent his
artillery back to the high ground. After a stiff and bitter
firefight, the Union commander determined that the flank could not be
turned and that further bloodshed was not going to produce any results.

The Union troops returned to the positions they had occupied that
morning and tended to the wounded.

This entire clash took barely the morning hours and will go down as
but a footnote in the annuls of the War.

It should be noted the the Union center and left were anchored by
Nevile and Mark and did a good job of holding despite being
outnumbered.

New York Times

david.rodgers83 <david.rodgers@...>

In a follow up on the "skirmish" that took place on 28 March, 1864 the
final casualty report was the Union lines lost 19 good and courageous
lads, the Southern scum lost 20 of their evil vermin to never threaten
our brave and galant gentlemen. Long live the union!

March 31, Commander's Diary

What a cesspool command to be assigned to. I have the rancher
complaining that his cattle are being stolen and then claiming he
cannot provide beef to the fort.

The troops are restless. With little food and no fresh beef they
are tiring of salted beef and hardtack. I have even heard rumblings
of hunting parties and rustling sheep among the men. I give very
little credence to these rumors except for Lt. Parmenter and his
troop. I will keep an eye on him.

Sunday morning we received a report via the new telegraph that a
Sioux war party was in the area and causing trouble. I quickly
organized a patrol and sent them to scout the area by the old mine.
The area is remote and I do not trust those miners. Too independent.

The local indian village seems peacful enough. The Chief has
requested that he and his braves be allowed to hunt the area. I have
graciously allowed him to do so. He then had the timerity to ask me
for rifles to hunt with. Rifles! I told him he was a fool and sent
him away. These savages! Who do they think they are?

To add insult to injury I received a letter via dispatch that "The
Kid" and his gang were last seen heading this way. Just what I
need. Next we will get a traveling midicine show and we can pitch a
tent and have a Circus. What did I ever do to deserve this?
