Hi Spencer,

We have a couple of ex-Michiganders in the club. Myself included. You can generally tell who is from Michigan since we tend to be the smartest and best looking.

Our next scheduled game is on Saturday the 20th.  I think Michael said he’s running a War of 1812 game using the Black Powder rules.

You’ll be able to check the details on the calendar once he posts them.

And that’s another thing for all the rest of you;  You can subscribe to the calendar on your smart phones and never miss a game again.  There’s a link just below the calendar.

Tweezer tool with LED light for board wargames

Last Saturday several of us were talking about board wargaming and I mentioned a set of tweezers that are excellent for board gamers, and that I use.  The tool allows you to pick up counters, and it has a build in LED light that shines right where you put the tweezers.  It puts the light right on the counter which is a help for those of use who don't see as well as we used to....ok, old guys.   If you're interested, here's the Amazon link to the tool.

Yes, very enjoyable afternoon.  Thanks to Michael, Ray and Mr. Rodgers (would be a bit difficult to have this game without a venue......).

Re: Club Shirts

Bob

I don’t have any lying around.
They have names embroidered on them so they need to be specifically ordered.

I can certainly put together another order if others want one now that you’ve seen how sexy they make the wearers look.

Send me a note <TTGS@...> telling me that you want a club shirt, your size, and the name you want on it.
I’ll plan on sending in an order after the next game day on the 20th.

If you can bear the humiliation of being seen wearing the club shirts (old ones or new ones) I encourage you to do so and we’ll try for a couple photo op’s.

Re: [HMGS-PSW_Southwest] Perfect for SPQR! 28mm Wargames Foundry Greeks for sale # For Sale

I met Tim Greene at SYW Convention in South Bend 2 or 3 years ago
His painted SYW Russians were very well painted (and kicked my Prussian army butt)
I have not seen his Greeks but ask for photos

Just my 2 cents

I am selling my painted 28mm Foundry Greeks.  I have an Athenian force and a Spartan force.  These are perfect for the new SPQR rules from Warlord or for Osprey's Men of Bronze.  They are painted and based to a very high standard.  I am selling these for $4 per foot figure and $8 per mounted figure.  I cannot break up the lots, the buyer must take the entire lot.

Lot #1  Athenians

3 leaders

1 priest sacrificing a goat

1 signaller

96 hoplites

12 cavalry

18 peltasts

8 psiloi javelins

8 psiloi bows

8 psiloi slings

Lot #2 Spartans

3 leaders

1 priest sacrificing a goat< /p>

1 signaller

96 hoplites

12 cavalry

18 peltasts

8 psiloi javelins

8 psiloi bows

Interested parties contact me at byz369@... for photos.

Thanks!

You should all join our group on GameFor. We’re basically the only historical group in AZ.  It could make the club easier to find.

I joined the App a long time ago. Not a lot of gamers yet registered for our area.
Most games I get advertisement for are in Las Vegas, NV....
I think it just needs more gamers to make it worth it
Let's hope more people register

For any of you guys who missed this last December.

There's an App called GAMEFOR that you can get on your smart phone.
Its basically an opponent finder, shop finder, event finder, and networking app for tabletop gamers.
Its world-wide but you can set filters to look only in certain areas.

The club has a listing and I try to keep it current.
I noticed that only a couple of you are using it so I thought I'd mention it's existence again.

Look in the App Store for "GameFor"
