Re: Lion Rampant Tournament

From what I’ve seen, I tend to agree. There was talk of changing the rules to SAGA.

Anyone have thoughts on that?

Wargame rules are usually guilty until proven innocent.

The rules, etc are in the files section on the group forum site.   https://groups.io/g/The-Table-Top-Gaming-Society/files

The tournament is scheduled to be on Saturday, October 27th.
Now I'm looking for a head count.  Who intends to participate?

Room for 8 players.
Let me know.

Sylvain...you play the English?  Will they even let you return to France anymore? :-)

We could do that to limit archer/crossbows I think that would be good.

We would have to take a closer look at mounted archers as well.

Also the complete uselessness of mounted men at arms might warrant a second look.

I have seen that too.
One way to do it without changing the rules is to limit the missile troops to 4 points. Basically one unit that is not sharpshooters....
My English hyw with two sharpshooters units protected by men at arms are very deadly :-)
Any thoughts?

A couple of months ago I reached out to you because I'm retiring to the Gilbert/Mesa area at the end of January.   I'm back here house hunting now, and I was wondering if it would be OK to attend this Saturday's game???

If so, can I get the address???

Thanks,

Ray

Either one is fine.
If you have the rules just make sure you follow the force composition requirements for a 24 point army.

If you don’t have the rules you can look at mine this Saturday.

Someone had a PDF version too. Clark maybe?

Welcome to Newsletter #159

It only seems like last week when you heard from us. That's because it was! There's so much stuff out this week, we couldn't just let it build up.

41547382_2239275969434626_2617772435084148736_n.jpgThe first thing to say is from 10am to 2pm BST Saturday 22nd September, there is a 10% discount across all ranges in the North Star website. You just need to type OPENDAY into the discount box when you place your order, and it'll take the 10% off automatically.

41547382_2239275969434626_2617772435084148736_n.jpg Why are we doing that? Well tomorrow we are having an 'open house' at North Star , where visitors are welcome to come and browse our shelves between 10 and 2, and we're giving them a 10% discount off everything (though not in conjunction with other offers).
It just seemed unfair to not let everyone join in the fun.

What's new?

The Frostgrave Ghost Archipelago books Gods of Fire and Farwander are now out.

Photo of Human King, Wizard and Musician (OAK107)Photo of Human Champions (OAK108) We're taking pre-orders for the new Oathmark plastic Human Infantry, and we are confident we'll be shipping on the 29th of September.

A new supplement for the popular WW2 rule book Chain of Command is with us now, covering the Blitzkrieg 1940 .

Cossack Collection Photo of Dietrich's Ghosts Army Deal (GEAB16) New WW2 figures from Crusader Miniatures, Cossacks in German Service. And loads more! They are all listed below, enjoy at your leisure, but remember to order during our 10% discount period.

What's coming soon?

We're hoping to have Flint and Feather available from the 2nd of October, a really great looking game for a unique period.

Frostgrave Maze of MalcorFrostgrave Maze of MalcorNICKSTARTER
There is a Nickstarter coming really soon. It's for the new Frostgrave Maze of Malcor range of miniatures, all the wizards, characters and creatures featured in this supplement.
Keep an eye open for it.

Cheers
Nick
