Waterloo will be fought on the 19th - 21st of June. 15mm figures using Age of Eagles rules. There’s room for a boatload of players. So, if you’re interested in playing let me know. Bob

AWI Game this Friday
brodgers.cell@...
Larry has volunteered to run a Rev War game. Using the one-page rules that were recently posted on the North Phoenix Irregulars Yahoo Group. Should be a good time. All the usual troop types as well as a few unusual ones too. Game starts at 7:00 PM in Bob's War Room ---------------------------------------------------------------- Also, Fred's 15mm WWII stuff is still available for browsing. He says he's willing to negotiate on prices so come by and brow-beat him into a bargain.

I'd be interested in German converted French CharB's with flamethrowers and 21st Panzer for Normandy with converted French vehicles.

WWII 15mm FOW Germans for sale
brodgers.cell@...
Fred has asked me to help him sell off his Flames of War collection. He dropped off well over $2,000 worth of German figures, vehicles, guns, etc. Even a couple planes. Most of the figures are painted to a solid 5-6. Most vehicles are painted to a 6-7. Have I made a complete list? Not really. But each bin (9) has a hand-written list of what's in it and what the asking prices are. Will I make a complete list? No. I'm not that motivated. Will I tell you if something you want is in the mix? Yes. Most (all?) is late war. I saw Heer, Fallshirmjagers, and SS troops. I didn't see any tanks smaller than MK III's. They will be available for ogling and fondling at Friday's game night. Fred will also be there if you feel the urge to haggle. So if you're looking for some FOW Germans, stop by and take a peek. Bob

Notes
The Bh'a Loni Campaign's first table top conflicts. We will attempt to put two games on the table at once:
Game 1 is Heathens vs Infidels or "This Mine is My Mine, This Mine's not Your Mine"
A group of plucky American Regulars and Militia have been pinned down at the ancient gold mine by Ottoman forces. The Mutesarif's forces, led by
General Iman Amongmen has besieged them for nearly two weeks and now thinks the time is right to assault. Governor Pulasky's flying column is racing to their rescue. A lot of bad blood has been generated. There have been beheadings of captives and dipping of Muslims in pork fat. No quarter is expected.
Game 2 is "The Ruins of Zinj-Kilim"
French explorers have discerned the location of a ruined ancient city deep in the mountains. The information within could re-write the history books on The B'ha Loni Coast and all African civilization. THe potential for massive treasure could tip the balance of colonial power.
But the French expedition is being watched. Can the watchers prevent the desecration of their sacred sites?
Rules are "Fields of Honor" in 15mm. Very simple to learn.
Even if you are not part of the campaign, there is plenty of action and you are welcome to play!
Start at 7:00 PM in Bob's War Room.
As always, RSVP's are appreciated.

Game night
brodgers.cell@...
The Battle of Ligny is over. The Prussians valiantly withstood the French assaults and were able to slip away during the night. This coming Friday night we are trying to have a couple of the Colonial Campaign battles. This will depend on how many guys can attend. So let me know as soon as you can whether or not you can make it Friday night. I'm also hoping to make some more progress on the Waterloo terrain boards on either Saturday or Sunday. We usually start around 1:00 PM and go for a few hours. So, if you're interested in working on the boards, let me know. Bob

Re: Friday night game
brodgers.cell@...
Well, the game is STILL not over. We only had four players so things moved rather slowly. The French slammed into the Prussian line just south of St Amand. The assault has pushed across the river and a deep salient now has formed. The Prussian defense has solidified and the lines seem to have stabilized temporarily. The French Young Guard formed assault columns and charged across the bridge at St Amand. But the Prussian defenders repulsed them soundly. The French have now begun moving their artillery up closer to St Amand and are expected to begin bombarding the town soon. French assaults across the river just north of Ligny met with initial success and destroyed a Prussian Landwehr brigade. However, the attackers were over-extended and lacked adequate supports so the Prussian counter-attack was able to shove them back across the river and the Prussian line solidified. The French Guard cavalry division's arrival on their left flank was able to shoo the Prussian cavalry away and solidify the flank. The rest of the line experienced minor skirmishing and long-range artillery fire. The game is still set up and will resume on April 3rd.
