Re: More troops

French are done.
Russians are done except for whatever tags David gave to John.
Minors are all done... Except for the Poles (John).
If I'm mistaken and there are still some Italians to do it will be a surprise.

OK, now I'm geting confused.
I thought all the troops were done except the Poles and Russians?
Are there still some other units missing? What do you still have tags for?

You guys bring whatever you have ready next week and we'll go through the OOB's Division by Division.

Mark, yes, we found the Empress Dragoons and they have been drafted into the Imperial Guard.

Am rebasing some late arrivals.

Will have:

2 bases of Croats (just light infantry in dark green it seems)
2 bases of Italian Guard infantry (mid green jackets)
3 bases of Saxon Cuiraissier
6 bases of Saxon Line (white jackets)
6 or 7 bases of Italian line (which we don't need I think, but as they are in white could do for Westphalians)

.....and it looks like I will be at the game on the 25th but not available on the Friday before the game - have to work.

John,

Dave, Larry and I spent a couple hours tagging troops yesterday.
The French, Westies, Wurttem's, Saxons, Italians, and Croats seem to all be accounted for.

As far as we can tell, all we are missing are the troops that we gave you the tags for.
Poles and some Russians?  Unless we gave you some tags for troops I have forgotten about?

Don't spend too much time rebasing troops that might not be needed.
I'm sure, on the day, there will be a few troops that we missed and need to find so bring all you can on the 25th and whatever we don't use we will just set aside and let them watch their comrades fight. The 25th will be our last "warm-up" game before the big game.

We are planning to set the game up on Friday the 31st.
Volunteers are welcome to assist.

The Borodino game will begin at 9:00 AM on the 1st.

And, in case anyone missed the announcement, the FINAL Quick Reference Sheet is up in the files section of the Yahoo Group if you want to review it.  There will be plenty on hand for the game.

[JC] There is a lot of 40K played at Empire Games which is just south of the 60 freeway (and just north of Baseline) on Greenfield. Jimmy, the manager, is a very helpful guy and can give anyone good advice on starting 40K as well as setting them up with some games.

I don't play Warhammer but I know some of you do.
So if you could touch base with Eric I'm sure he would appreciate it.

Sorry, working this coming weekend. However I am finishing off the re-basing of the Poles. No sign of those Croats yet.

I'd like to finish up the terrain boards next weekend.
I'm thinking we could do that next Sunday ??

As far as I can tell we just need to finish making trees and create the
cloths to cover the board seams.
Shouldn't take very long.

Any helpers ?

Bob,

I have family in town next weekend and won't be able to help on the boards.  I do plan to be at the playtest on the 25th.  Dave.

I'll base them and drop them by next Saturday - do we need any guns based with crews? I would be more than willing to base them  that way - but will do the 1" bases if we only need run away crews.

Just let me know :)

I think Michael's carries some misc. rounds that would work as well. Should be reasonably priced.

I have found that nickels work great for this. Or you can buy round bases for .06 each.

Bob,

I have the artillery crews all painted up (28 figures with 6 guns and 1 howitzer). they do need to be based, you said 1" round bases, do you happen to have any already or what should I make them out of? I can get them all based up and to you by the 25th, though I would not be able to stick around and play (wife's birthday).

If you would prefer, we can meet up somewhere and I can drop the figs to you if you would prefer to base - let me know what works best.

Alyx,

Basing for runaway crews is on a 1" round base.
You can get wooden ones at Michaels, or just use nickels.
Guns don't need to be mounted on a base.

If you want to base up a battery with gun & crew they go on a 40mm square base.
You can drop them by the house any time (Wife works from home).
If you'd rather wait until I'm home then Friday - Sunday.

If you want ME to base them, then drop them off by Friday.
