Conflagration
The Tin Dictator <TinDictator@...>
This is a reminder that the new convention "Conflagration" will be coming up on the 22nd - 24th. The con will be at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel in downtown Tempe. After looking through the game listings, I don't think I'll be going. Not really my cup of tea.
I was going to run a couple miniatures games but they didn't seem very interested. So....... screw it. Here's the link www.conflagration.org for those of you who might be interested in checking it out.

Don, The quick play version, "Borodino Quick Play" did work pretty well. We made a few notes and will be having another go at it this Saturday. I think its going to turn out to be a pretty good big-battle rule system.

There's not really a figure/man scale, per se. Each Infantry Batallion has 6 bases. Cav have 4 bases. Gun batteries are represented by a gun base for every two guns in a battery. So, typically French have 4 bases = 8 guns, Russians have 6 bases = 12 guns, etc.
But, when limbered the battery is only represented by one limber base. So its easier to lose the whole battery if it gets shot. Losses are in bases, not figures. The number of figures on a base is irrelevant. Kind of like Fire and Fury.
Musket range = 6" Max heavy arty range = 24" (Canister = 6") Movement = 6" for infantry (4" in line) Cav moves 12" Arty moves 8"
