With the Westfalians...  I have their artillery done (Since its virtually identical to French, just with yellow stripes on the cannon wheels, it was pretty simple).  and the 2 regiments of Cuirassiers done.  Summer project is finishing up VIII Corps, or damned close to it!

This is going to be an epic re-fight.

John,
Great to have you on board!  I hope some future game days hit weekends when you don't have to work and that you can get out and play.
There is an Imperial Lances Yahoo group with the OOB's for many battles, including Borodino.  http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Imperial_Lances/
You can find the OOB for Borodino as well as the unit labels in the Files section "The Borodino Project" of this club's Yahoo group also.   http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Table_Top_Gaming_Society/files/The%20Borodino%20Project/
I'd recommend that you guys begin printing out the unit tags and attaching them to your units.  Then we'll know which units are still missing and need to be worked on.
As long as the basing is relatively close you shouldn't have to rebase. The NB Cavalry bases would probably be the only bases you'd need to re-do because of their depth. I don't know what the Infantry base dimensions are but if they're close they should be OK. I know that some of the guys have infantry based for Age of Eagles. The bases are a little smaller but they'll work.
If you want a copy of the rules, Imperial Lances is available from On Military Matters or Scale Creep Miniatures in the US.  Or, I can sell you a copy.  But I don't take credit cards.

Great to have you! I am working on the Russian Army. After the current
batch of figures comes back from the painters, I will have a good idea of
where I am. I believe I will be 95% done. I plan on picking up some
generals at Historicon to compliment my troops. It looks like it may be
Thanksgiving before The painting happens though.

I would echo Bob's sentiment and say I hope you can make it out to a game
or two.

Hi,

My name is John Curran. I have been a lurker on the list for a while. I
am a historical gamer but unfortunately my time is limited, so I have not
previously introduced myself. Saturdays are a difficult day for me (I work
every third weekend, etc.)

However I noted your Borodino project and would like to participate. I can
contribute 15 mm Russians and 15 mm Polish Duchy of Warsaw. They are based
4 figures to a base for Napoleon's Battles (which I probably have not
played this century :-)).

Inventory is as follows:

Russians:

6 Brigades of Russian LN - 34 bases
1 Brigade of Grenadiers - 6 bases
1 Brigade of Jaegers - 5 bases
6 12# Batteries

1 HC Curaissier Brigade - 4 bases
3 LC Brigades - 14 bases
2 Cossack LC Brigades - 8 bases
3 6# Batteries

Duchy of Warsaw:

9 Brigades Polish LN - 50 bases
6 6# Batteries
1 Brigade Polish HC - 6 bases
1 Brigade Polish LC (Lancer) - 5 bases
3 Brigades Polish LC - 16 bases

I don't have the original OB so some of these may need to be tweaked, but
obviously the stated number of bases is available.

Mark and I were providing French. I'm WAY short of Cavalry.
Rolland and Mark were providing most, if not all the minor allies.

I am creating the terrain boards.

Dave M. says he has some figures also.

Anyone else have troops that need to get into the fight?
The more people who can provide troops, the fewer we each have to paint
up before the game.

We're being asked again for games for the upcoming Arena II.
It is being held at Imperial Outpost Games in Glendale on July 16th.

Its the week after Historicon.
I will probably run something. Haven't decided what yet.
Is anyone else going to run any games?
If you are, send me your game descriptions, number of players, time slot
request, etc. as soon as you can and I'll make sure it gets into the
schedule.

Remember that they are cutting us a deal as a club on admittance so lets
help support the cons as much as we can.

Thanks.

Bob

Sorry Bob,

It seems I have continual conflicts with their dates.  Unfortunately, I will be in Denver on that date and unavailable to play or run a game.  Hopefully one of the future dates will work out.  Dave.

I'll try to run something. I'll figure it out if I can by this weekend.

Maybe he just hates you.
Or, at the very least, likes Dave better.
Did you kick his dog?
Did you wink at his wife?
Or worse, the other way around?
There are any number of theories we could ponder.

Oh!?
The question was rhetorical?
... Never mind.

I see he has a bunch of listings on e-bay as well.
Try contacting him through there.

I also see that Old Guard Painters has a bunch of Russkies for sale.
I know you've gone there in the past.

I am doing the Russians. I am planning on using yours. You supplied me with
a list of your troops and I have the official OOB for the troops. After we
send out the batch to PhilGreg I will have a better assessment of where I
stand. I am planning on being able to finish the Infantry, Artillery and
Cavalry once these are completed. This should leave me with some
Skirmishers, Runaway Gun Crews and Officers to fill in. Possibly some other
odd units but I will be close.

If anyone else has Russians, 15mm Nappies, we may be in business.

I also have some British, Portuguese and Spanish, as well as some KGL in
limited quantities if they can fill in for others.

My hope is to send a final batch to PhilGreg around March/April to finish
anything still needed.

Since there appears to be a decent number of guys going to the Saturday
game, I'd like to take the opportunity to discuss "Project Borodino".

Maybe get updates on the status of our 15mm Nap armies and try to make some
assessments of what we still need.

The game isn't until Labor Day of 2012. But that time will fly by.

My understanding is that Dave R. is doing the Russians. I don't remember if
you're planning on also using mine also or if you're covering the entire
army yourself?

Mark and I were providing French. I'm WAY short of Cavalry.
Rolland and Mark were providing most, if not all the minor allies.

I am creating the terrain boards.

Dave M. says he has some figures also.

Anyone else have troops that need to get into the fight?
The more people who can provide troops, the fewer we each have to paint up
before the game.

Bob
