Great to have you! I am working on the Russian Army. After the current
batch of figures comes back from the painters, I will have a good idea of where I am. I believe I will be 95% done. I plan on picking up some generals at Historicon to compliment my troops. It looks like it may be Thanksgiving before The painting happens though. I would echo Bob's sentiment and say I hope you can make it out to a game or two. Forgot to throw in exactly how far along I am, by the way! I have the IV Corps complete except for the 4 regiments of Bavarian Cheveauxlegers. I also have General Pino's 15th Infantry Division of IV Corps which wasn't present at Borodino, but was around for a lot of the bloodbaths before and after, just in case we wanted to fight some of the smaller battles of the campaign. With the Westfalians... I have their artillery done (Since its virtually identical to French, just with yellow stripes on the cannon wheels, it was pretty simple). and the 2 regiments of Cuirassiers done. Summer project is finishing up VIII Corps, or damned close to it! This is going to be an epic re-fight. Rolland To: Table_Top_Gaming_Society@... From: TinDictator@... I am doing the Russians. I am planning on using yours. You supplied me with
a list of your troops and I have the official OOB for the troops. After we send out the batch to PhilGreg I will have a better assessment of where I stand. I am planning on being able to finish the Infantry, Artillery and Cavalry once these are completed. This should leave me with some Skirmishers, Runaway Gun Crews and Officers to fill in. Possibly some other odd units but I will be close. If anyone else has Russians, 15mm Nappies, we may be in business. I also have some British, Portuguese and Spanish, as well as some KGL in limited quantities if they can fill in for others. My hope is to send a final batch to PhilGreg around March/April to finish anything still needed. Re: ECW Rules ??
Donald Miller <dgvmiller@...>
John had rebased for WECW but there was little interest. So he is in process of rebasing again. I'm not sure for what.
Ancients went to FOG and I'm pretty sure the Renaissance play will go the same route, FOGR. As usual I march to a different drummer and am happy with Big Battle DBA. I've been experimenting with Command and Colors and find them fun. A board game that converts to figures easily, the cards and dice are fairly easy to find on E-bay. The rules are a free PDF down load now. There is a website that gives great support: http://www.ccancients.net/ I watch with interest you forays into 28mm WWII, and envy you the opportunity to play on the Babylonian table. Good luck with Renaissance, you can always go "old school" and play Gush's Rules ;-D Don

Re: Moor Orless-on-Thyme English Civil War Battle
David M
Bob,
I'll bring my rule book this Saturday and let you read through the book. I understand the difficulty of learning the rules with the complications we had. I will try to set up a more simple battlefield and reduce the commands to four units each to allow each player to fully use and understand what they have. Unfortunately, I'm out of town on June 18th but could try it two weeks later on July 2nd or next week on June 11th.
Also, I would highly recommend that you play in a couple of SAGA games while you are at Historicon. Jeff Ball especially sets up fun and challeging games; I have always enjoyed them. He usually specializes in the medieval, renaissance and napoleonic games. See you Saturday, Dave.
