Alain,

Welcome to the Comminity, and greetings to France. I once very much enjoyed a visit to Calais.

Your 2215A is a fine scope. It is complicated and capable enough to do the vast majority of tasks many of us want to do. (I work on audio and legacy amateur equipment. )

As I understand it, the 2200 series was regarded as "economy" scopes meant for modest budgets and less than state of the art capability requirements.

I do wish it had a vertical signal output as the 500 series scopes have, so I could use a frequency counter on the signals being displayed.

There have been many helpful posts here about the 2215A and others in the family, and folks on the list have extensive experience to offer.

Hello,

Thanks for all your welcome messages...
Merci pour tous vos messages de bienvenue...

I'll use the 2215A for my electronics, it's in real good condition, was used by a retired TV and Radio repair guy.
He wanted to scrap it, so I offered to take it home!

And Yes Roy, a little bit complicated....
It will be useful for my last pending build, a PassDiy F7 balanced Class A amplifier...

PS: Martin, Je pense que 'Gaston' en aurait fait un usage insoupçonné... :)

Best regards,
Alain.
