Are all 177 test fixtures created equal

A simple question, can any 177 test fixture fit into any 577 curve tracer regardless of its build date / serial number? Thanks

As far as I am aware yes they are however there are some build differences and the knob is different as well as the lighting. Early examples have 2 lights later ones have a single light and a printed ring.
