453 LVPS Isolated from Chassis?

While working on my 453, I notice that the LVPS board is isolated from the chassis with nylon covers on the mounting studs and nylon screws to hold the board in place to those studs. Since the various supplies are tied to ground (assuming the chassis) anyway, why is is necessary to isolate the board from the chassis since those mounting studs are positioned on the ground portions of the board (at least I'm pretty sure all three of them are). Ground loops?

That would be my guess--ground loops/noise.
