Harvey,

How does the Scan take place in this Oscilloscope? What Starts the Scan?
What tells the Scan Where to Start? How does the Retrace work? What
Controls the Scan Length?

Tek manuals have a theory of operation section in them that is very in depth. Worth a read or 1000

Hey Brenden,

Ive read the Manual...more than once. IMHO... it was written for Engineers
not Laypersons like myself.

Somewhere out in the internet, there is a book called
XYZ's of oscilloscopes, written by Tektronix for folks
who want to know about oscilloscopes, but don't know
where to begin:

<https://engineering.purdue.edu/~aae520/tek-scope-primer.pdf>

It would be a really good place to start.

You could read this and skip the math part - there is plenty of
