Hi Bob Many thanks for your reply, the pliers you describe are what we call circlip pliers in the UK but I suspect the 7000 series fittings are different as those pliers wouldn't work for what I'm try

P6139A 500MHz Probe
I have a pair of P6139A 500MHz probes, one seems to be ok but the compensation capacitor on the other has been damaged at some time and the small adjuster plate just turns very loosely with no effect
